Joe Frazier v Larry Holmes.

Okay we're talking the Smokin Joe of his glorious and underrated title reign against the Holmes of circa 1980-82
I see Joe pounding out a strong and clear 15 round decision. He would slip Holmes jab all night long, and pound him to the body all night strong daddy...Holmes didnt have the strength of Ali or ability to fight off the ropes like him or move like Ali....this is a fight I cannot see Joe losing.

Frazier by very late stoppage, 13th or 14th.
Holmes would give an excellent account of himself, but as you said the Frazier body attack would ultimately prevail.

Yes, I agree with both of your statements. Not sure about a stoppage, but definitely a UD. If Shavers wouldn't have ran out of gas he would have KO'd Holmes. Have to admire Holme's jab though...one of the best.

If Holmes got hit in the 15th round the the way Ali did, after taking the same sort of beating Ali did in the FOTC, Holmes would not have made it to the bell. And we never would have had to hear his silly jock carrying statements about former champions.

Frazier circa 1970-1971 possibly by late kayo or stoppage, but certainly by decision.

Exactly as I see it. Holmes is very competitive (no way Frazier slips the jab, "all night long'" or avoids getting marked up) but ultimately gets stopped. Bad style match-up for Holmes and in his prime, never fought, much less beat, anyone even near to Frazier's class, which doesnt help.
This is an unusual mythical match-up, in that I always think it would be highly competitive, but one guy would nearly always win it.
Frazier TKO14.

Holmes liked to fire off a initial snappy jab as a range finder, and than jabs in bunches...that's exactly why Frazier would slip it all night long daddy...once Frazier had his scent of the first punch he could slip the bunch....sure some would land, and getting marked up even a little is bread and butter in the HW division where punches carry more power against human skin....but those are irrelevancies.....Frazier pounds Holmes body and wobbles him several times over the distance....

Frazier…
Larry wasn’t as open to the left hook but I think the styles favour Joe. It could go the distance.

My analysis of the fight:
Holmes would be fighting in a defensive manner, employing his jab to try and keep Joe at bay and using it to try and clokc up the rounds in his favour.
Frazier would be his usual aggressive come-forward style, closing down Holmes and cornering him unleashing hellish barrages to Holmes body and head.
I thinmk Frazier would score 2/3 knockdowns before either a referee stoppage or a late Knockout.
