David Tua v James 'Bonecrusher' Smith

I am enjoying some of the matchups being put up here involving 80's / 90's heavy's, and here is my contribution.
On his best day, I see Bonecrusher forcing a late stoppage, or a close decision ( :o ).
It's difficult to see Tua being stopped here, even though Bone looked like a real monster for 3 or 4 fights until he met Tyson.
But if Crusher could last 12 with Mike (and last he did) he would probably manage to do so with Tua.
In my mind, the result swings on how negative Bonecrusher behaves. Lets not forget that he did open up on Mike when he was sure that there was no time left for Tyson to respond! This is what my head tells me.
My heart sees an all out war from bell one, which might just favour Tua? Whatever, I'd pay to see it.

When Smith was at his best he was hard to KO.

Both brutal punchers with great chins.

They where both limited boxers.

But I think Smith hustles a win here.

Good matchup.

I would take Smith via close UD.

Smith to me appeared to be intimidated by Tyson and as a result was very negative. Tua was not of the same stature and not undisputed champ, so I think Smith would not go into his shell and would therefore prevail.

superb matchup....bonecrusher wins over 12 it wouldnt quite be a nuclear war...bonecrusher would try and tie his man up at times but there would be heated exchanges...crusher could punch and take a helluva shot...he endured bruno too and frank could punch....i think he can take tuas shots and survive and tua is no 87 tyson.
