would it be a candidate for possibly the worst bout or match up in 100 years????!!!!
or is there one that could even surpass that
or is there one that could even surpass that
bugner was light years ahead of harrison in talent and anything else.BoxBuzz wrote:Well you're pitting a pretty disciplined and focused (for the most part) fighter against a possibly equally talented but lacking focus, example of a fighter.
I'd always go with the one that took the game seriously.
I chose understatement, and do not disagree with your assessment.mugabi wrote:bugner was light years ahead of harrison in talent and anything else.BoxBuzz wrote:Well you're pitting a pretty disciplined and focused (for the most part) fighter against a possibly equally talented but lacking focus, example of a fighter.

No way can any1 have them in same bracket.easy win for bugner ko too
That's cuz you're not supposed to disrespect 'enry's Hammer.flatnoseflynn wrote:Bugner all day the guy was very underated by the British people as a fighter.

My stating Bugner is light years ahead of Fraudley in talent is the understatement here.....your even dreaming of comparing Harrison to Bugner in talent or calling A farce "very very talented" is the most foolish thing i have read on these pages since I read Adamek and Jack dempsey would be a close matchup.BoxBuzz wrote:I chose understatement, and do not disagree with your assessment.mugabi wrote:bugner was light years ahead of harrison in talent and anything else.BoxBuzz wrote:Well you're pitting a pretty disciplined and focused (for the most part) fighter against a possibly equally talented but lacking focus, example of a fighter.

I thought/think of Audley as very very lazy IF very very talented.
I thought he was 28 when he won olympicsKetchel wrote:Bugner every day of the week. Bugner was British champion in his early 20's beating Henry Cooper. What was Fraudley doing at that age? He was in his 30's when he won gold in Sydney.
Bugner fought hard against Joe Frazier. Could you picture the fear in Audley's crazy eyes if Frazier was marching him down?
You get my point though? By 28 years old Bugner had fought Cooper, Blin x 2, Bodell x 2, Ali x 2, Frazier, Mac Foster, Jimmy Ellis & Lyle. He fought Ali and then Frazier 5 months later when he was 22/23! What would make anyone think that Audley could compete with Bugner?flatnoseflynn wrote:I thought he was 28 when he won olympicsKetchel wrote:Bugner every day of the week. Harrison and talent are not easy bedfellows.BoxBuzz wrote:mugabi, you have fallen into my trap......"talent" means many things....lol, you seem to recognize the very talent of which I speak.
However I do think that Audley showed some potential.....sad it was never honed. Just another story of a potential "way" with no "will".
The history of boxing is littered with such stories.

Lets analyse it. Was Harrison a great athlete? No a lumbering specimin.
Speed? No he pawed his jabs and his left hook should have had a postage stamp on it.
Power- sure he slapped around some bums and he took out sprott with one punch , but thats about it, the williams he beat had trouble walking straight.
Stamina- always out of shape fought at a poor pace.
Skills- an awkward southpaw and thats it....this guys idea of a combo was a meal deal at Burger King.
....he could talk that i give him... he's also one of the poorest olympic gold medalists ever.... whatever "trap" you had, its all in your mind
Your admitting your mind has plenty of room...your recognising theres so much air in there raised you in my estimation two foldBoxBuzz wrote:mugabi wrote:Harrison and talent are not easy bedfellows.BoxBuzz wrote:mugabi, you have fallen into my trap......"talent" means many things....lol, you seem to recognize the very talent of which I speak.

Well my mind has plenty of room....lol.
It feels good to be set straight by something/someone OTHER than the akashik record for a change!
I've properly adjusted my thinking, and now will continue forward with enhanced poise and confidence based on your valuable input sir!
