Boxing is a business as well as a sport.
It's all well and good Dean Powell disclosing offers etc, but personally I think matters such as that should be kept private.
Anyway the irony is that the fight is on now, promoted by a Company not having Powell on the pay roll, and Danny's gonna get more than Powell's offer.
So, who's got it right ?

The offer was made after the Gutvhnekt fight.. Think before you write Cardiff?? ;)

For whats its worth, i agree and this thread wasn't in any way a dig at Tony.

I simply wanted to know what other people thought of the 'They gave you that amount because they were buying the belt from you' comment from Dean Powell to Danny McIntosh thats all.............

I don't think that that comments reflects Dean in a good light but after i posted the stuff above, i received a call from Dean and we discussed this matter. It's fair to say that he believes Danny was always the underdog to win the fight BUT Dean also was quite clear that he fully understood the logic of taking the fight as described Danny's purse as a 'once in a lifetime paycheque' which to be fair is probably true.

Bellew v Danny Mac is a good fight; two brave bangers who love a tear up. Can't wait!

I used to slate Danny Mcintosh on here..but il hold my hands up&say i was wrong about the chap,met him twice&had a good chat with him since&hes a good guy&i now like him...But i think this is a fight what will make Bomber look like a world beater&he will stop Danny...

Great little interview again princess, Danny seems a really nice bloke who can take a joke, dean was put on the spot and I don't think ment to much by it other then the truth, bomber will beat Danny up IMO but I'm hoping it's a good fight while it lasts !

Someone mentioned that Bomber tweeted a few days ago championing the ESB forum saying that it was the best! Perhaps he doesn't get such a hard time over there??

That's ashame as I liked him on here, ive been to most forums and I can say hands down this is the best and has the most knowledgeable members. Hope he comes back.

I was a bit embarrassed for Danny when Jane kept telling him he was going to get knocked out. He took it well enough though.

I may be way off the mark here and dreamt it (if thats the case then I will be worried if Im dreaming about Jane Couch)

Listen the whole thing was a laugh danny knew this I dont do the everyday boring shite that everyone else does I can do and sometimes do But this was a joke If you cant see that WELL I thought it was quiet clear may be not I,m not going to apologise for being different and yes i,m doing the WBC convention and i,ll be 100 Percent boring and do what every other interviewer does Me I rather have a laugh with them and make it different But cant imagine Mike Tyson taking my humour nite sorry for being passionate about boxing and bringing something different Actually i,m not sorry F*** off If ya dont like it Dont watch

I never slagged you off at all - I merely asked the question about the WBC Convention.

As for your interview technique, well its not my cup of tea but its obviously all done in jest and a little tongue in cheek with the full co-operation of those your interviewing.

Sorry Jane, I've enjoyed a lot of your interviews but you missed the mark here and was harsh on McIntosh He's signed on to fight Bellew which deserves respect and complimented his performance against Cleverley saying he thought Tony won. He won the EBU in France and took his defence in Germany he's a game fighter who gave you an interview and got abuse for his trouble (It appeared that way on the video)

get both sides of the argument here. I enjoy Jane's style of interview, but that interview didn't really feel like an interview just telling him he's gunna get ktfo. I love all interviews both Jane and Ifilm do for boxing there keeping the small hall scene fresh as well as the big promoters shows. That one went bit too fat for me though.

Keep up the good work though!

Like Jane's interviews me, but agree there Jane did seem a bit harsh on Danny.

I'm a Bomber fan myself but definitely thinks Danny deserves a lot more respect than he gets.
