On allegedly tonight they were talking about Selkirk v COx easy to make, is Sai not getting his rematch then

I hope Sai gets a rematch, but whoever fights Cox next definitely needs to watch out for his bollock shots.

In fairness it's up to the Commonwealth to put their foot down and they've already stipulated that an immediate rematch must take place before the end of April. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Unlike some at the BBBofC I personally find Simon Block approachable and frankly honest. He also returns phone calls and emails which is rather refreshing.

If it doesnt happen, have the title off him, Sai vs the next best contender for it, and Cox gets publicly told he'll never be allowed to fight for a Commonwealth belt again. Thatll get attention.

Dirty fighter Cox, remember watching him Vs Mark Lloyd at the civic and he was scraping his heals down Lloyds legs, things like that.

Be a joke if Sai doesn't get the re-match, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't.

They are separate entities, Mick. Of course, they work closely together but ultimately it's Commonwealth Council, not the BBBofC, who will enforce this.

It doesn't help though, that the President, Chairman, and three of the directors are all British Board officials.
No one else in the Commonwealth comes near to that.
The Commonwealth Council seeking purse bids for the remtach.
Maybe they know no one will bid .....

He brought nothing to the table financially when he was brought over her (probably paid just a few quid) as a sacrificial lamb and expected to be another loser on Cox's record.

Unfortunately for Cox / His Promoter, Sai performed better than expected and "luckily" ........... the judges gave it to Cox (how they could justify that to the BBBofC I never now).

Now all of a sudden Cox and his team don't want to know - absolute disgrace and in your heart you know it is, although I don't expect you to say so.

Cox is a proper Cock, I look forward to Selkirk or whoever British knocking him out. I feel sorry for Sai not to get the chance.

Boxing is a buisness 1st sport 2nd it makes no buisness sense for allegedly to put cox v sai in again together, he's relised cox limited potential and would rather keep the title inhouse then let sai take it back to africa

I dont agree with it but thats the way all boxing promoters work

Yeah, but the point I am trying to make is that he brought even less to the table financially the first time round when nobody had even heard of him (at least now, people are likely to tune in to watch a rematch).

I also assume it wouldn't cost mega bucks to bring him over again (as if it did, he wouldn't have been brought over in the first place).

So what as changed ? - other than the promoter obviously thinking that he might actually win the fight.
