Kev and Kenny are a class act.

A pro's pro is Kenny.

It's a pick 'em for me genuinely. I really fancied George over Degale, but Kenny seems to get to Groves weaknesses better.

I like both guys, good fight hopefully.

Interesting fight, but with the same result as last time for me. Groves has improved considerably since they last met.

I wonder if Anderson will stick the nut in again at the weigh-in?

Everyone says groves has improved? Where's the evidence? He's a great fighter don't get me wrong I'm a fan but kenny is better and he'll prove it on the night.

He'd boxed with degale for years so a nip and tuck affair was to be expected - and he lost the first clearly to Paul smith. It was only the great punch he landed that shifted the fight in his favour and ultimately ended the contest.

One moments brilliance doesn't make an improved fighter. He's tremendous at what he does but there is no great improvement. Great results yes but the same fighter. No disrespect obviously.

Obviously no disrespect.

I'm not talking about one moment's brilliance - there's plenty of evidence of his improvement is in his last two fights, particularly in his defence. Look at his movement when on the ropes against DeGale, landing, then tying up or side stepping - a technique that Andre Dirrell, with whom he sparred, has pretty much perfected.

He wasn't doing that last time against Anderson, he was rolling punches, so he was taking a lot more.

He did get take a couple in the first against Smith but he still won the round for me, landed more and was jabbing well.

One great punch is all it takes Jeff thats what Kenny will be hoping for coz he cant beat George for speed or skill imo

Both Paul Smith James DeGale are excellent scalps and very different propositions. Though people say Smith was never a true super middle he did very well prior to Groves.

I am looking forward to the Anderson rematch; Kenny is an excellent box fighter but far too much is being made of the 'hard man' image. If Kenny takes a shot similar to Smith and grins back then I'm a convert but I see Kenny losing and doing well at British title level and making good money and Groves going to fringe World Title level. Both come across well in interviews and deserve the spotlight.

If only Kenny had stayed with you Billy, he'd be a multi weight world champ, you slate all Scottish fighters who don't want to train with you, I remember you where ripping Craig Mcewan up for arse paper, then he came to train with you for a bit and turned into a future world beater, same with Paul Appleby and Alex Arthur you slagged them off constantly, if Kenny came back you'd be bumming him up non stop, fact is your a shit trainer who got lucky having Ricky who if the truth be told would have went straight to Peter Harrison had he been training pros at the time.

Wouldn't say Billys comment was actually slating Kenny. Groves is a more talented fighter.

Great interview by Kenny and Kevin. Pair of great professionals.

You have me wrong here mate id love to see kenny win but imo i can only see him win by KO,Ive no hard feeling towards Kenny whatsoeve he decided to leave end of..Yes im a jammy man eh training Ricky to be a two weight world champion do you know how ridiculous you sound.
I think McEwan is a great fighter who hasnt been well looked after but i did tell him his last fight was a mistake didnt i?

There's no need for that. We're all supposed to be adults here.

Kenny Anderson receives a lot of high praise on this forum. I've yet to see why, but I can agree that he's decent. I'm always worried about Groves getting knocked out, but he should win this.

Groves made Paul Smith wary of him. Smith was thinking about what Groves was doing rather than thinking about his own movement, punches, etc. -- then Groves landed the shot he was after. Groves has definitely matured as a fighter, but also has a way to go before he's ready for the top guys in the division.

I didn't say you where jammy did I?, said you got lucky which is true, you don't really think Ricky would have chosen to train with you over Harrison do you?, and as far as I'm aware Ricky has only won 1 world title and will probably inherit the other one. You have no other fighters worth mentioning other than Ricky.
You constantly belittle and bad mouth Scottish fighters who don't want to train with you, I have read post and post of you slagging and making snide remarks about Arthur/Anderson/Mcewan/Young/Appleby (until he came and trained with you). The way you have spoken about Kevin Mitchell is equally classless, you talk about boys getting put down in sparring/boys refusing to spar stuff that should stay in the gym in my opinion.
Now I would bet my house if Anderson still trained with you, you would not be saying he needs a "lucky punch" would you?

Your absolutely classless as a man and you cost Ricky a lot of support with your ego and attitude.

What I said is all true my friend go search Billy Nelsons previous posts he does nothing but slag and make snide remarks about Scottish fighters who don't want anything to do with him.

I remember him ripping into Paul Appleby continually talking about Paul and Ricky sparring, not taking into account at all that Paul was a young fighter coming off a bad loss. Now fast forward and Paul is heading for world titles, cause he's trained by Billy.

He has slated Alex Arthur no end, at every opportunity, accusing him of things that he would be quite frankly mad to do ie making a cut throat sign at Ricky while sitting at ringside, but seems it was only Billy and Ricky's wife that saw it despite cameras and hundreds of people being there.

He slags of Anderson in less obvious way for obvious reasons.

Craig Mcewan was basically crap, went to Billy for a few weeks and loan behold he turns world beater, but then does a full circle and is back being shit when he leaves again. And for the record taking his last fight was a mistake but I sure Craig had his reasons for doing it.

These are just fighters I've chosen to mention he also likes talking down Limond,Hughes etc.

Don't take my word for it though go through his previous post especially over at eastside, fact is Billy and his ego cant understand why people don't want to train with him.
