What was your best fight prediction ever?

by The REAL McCoy
This is a hard one for 'ol boy McCoy as he has had made so many great predictions that last time when he tried to add 'em up his damn calculator exploded!
Sure McCoys havent always been accurate, but lets forget about that one time!
McCoys had to be when he predicted that Evander Holyfield would beat Mike Tyson in their first fight
No one really gave headbutt Holyfield a chance, but el McCoy verdadero did
Oh, & this one wasnt bad either

So whats your best prediction, eh?

Mark Kaylor to beat Errol Christie would be my most satisfying pick. Christie came into the fight off a run of ridiculously easy wins that made him look a frightening puncher, but as soon as Kaylor saw out the frantic early exchanges, Christie couldn't deal with it.
Kaylor outlasted him in eight fantastic rounds.

Longest odds I bet money on and won: Toney - Holyfield (I covered rnds 7,8,9,10).
Best recent prediction was: Gomez - Arthur
Couple of years ago: Barrera - Hamed
Worst: Golota to beat Lennox (the one and only time I went against Lewis)

When I put money on Mayorga to Ko Forrest.

I almost got Toney one spot on, picked him to stop Jirov in round 12.
Picked Rahman to beat Lewis in their first fight, and picked the round Lewis would beat him in the rematch.

That was my greatest too, Rahman knocking out Lewis.
Best recent was Zsolt Erdei beating Julio Gonzalez.
I was convinced Felix Trinidad would stop Bernard Hopkins!

Some of my best picks have been:
Mayweather to piss on Corrales
Mayorga to stop Forrest
Hopkins to piss on Trinidad
Vincent to beat Barnes
Too knackered to think of any more right now.

Ah yeah I picked Toney over Jirov too when most didn't.

Tszyu over Judah, Toney over Jirov (years before the bout was made), and yes - you might not believe I picked Douglas over Tyson.
I have had some howlers aswell - Viet over Calzaghe being my worst.

Mine's easy - Corrie Sanders KO's Wladimir Kltschko in 2.

Eubank to beat Benn in their first fight - the bookies had it wrong on that one for a change. Chris had already showed a good chin against Anthony Logan, so I could'nt see Benn blowing him away, as the papers were predicting.
( but I think I went for Benn in the Watson fight to be honest )
Chavez over Taylor in their first fight.

That's what happens if you don't do your research. As soon as I heard the weigh in results I started to worry and was furious at Williams. If you can remember, when the weights were listed on here I said I was going to go out instead of watching the fight. That's exactly what I did, I still haven't seen it infact.
I got it wrong, because Williams didn't, for whatever reason, put the effort in before the fight.

Only having a bit of fun, Jimmy. Sprott himself looked surprised to get the verdict.

Sanders to beat Wladimir Kltschko at 11/1
Gomez to KO Arthur at 10/1
Spinks to beat Mayorga at 13/2
Had some howlers mind in 2003 also mind (Johnson to beat v Kltschko, Ndou to KO Mayweather) but from a betting perspective, said three were the biggest odds tipped.
