This might be an unpopular one amongst us Wreckers, but the guy who does annoy McCoy and destroy the joy is the one & only(thank god, imagine there was two of em?)

This cat didnt bother McCoy as a fighter, in fact McCoy cheered him on when he fought Howard Eastman, & thought it was refreshing that he dodged all the 'bum' titles

But as a trainer he is EXTREMELY annoying, & its fair to say he gets on McCoys muscular rock hard, tanned & oiled up titties

Its annoying listening to him tell us how great HIS fighters are, whilst looking down his restructured nose at any of their opponents

You couldnt help but feel sorry for Gary Beardsley after he fought a great fight, outpointing Matthew Thirwall in an upset

Robert took great pleasure in sitting ringside during Garys interview, degrading the winner, saying "He never won the fight, & he knows he never won the fight" at Garys side, trying desperately to spoil what was a great win for Gary

McCoy has never been as tempted to jump into the TV set whup some ass(well, apart from a few times when he was watching the Adult channel)

Robert was also out of order after Howard Eastmans last fight against Sergey Tatevosyan shaking his head saying "That kid didnt come to fight, he came to survive"

No Robert, he didnt come to survive, he came to win, & win he did in McCoys big humble opinion by a single round

Just because he boxed Howard rather than slug it out with him, didnt mean he was there to survive

Heres a final thought fellow Wreckers, if Howard had all the trouble in the world with a guy who came to survive, think what he is going to be like with a guy who comes to fight

The National Council for the Training of Journalists and the National Union of Journalists respectively. You need the first one before you can get the other.

Duke McKenzie is getting as bad, "This is the greatest upset in the history of boxing" - he was talking about Woods wobbling Johnson in the last round.

I like Duke as a analyst, but I think I would prefer him swap with Woodhall. Although there is a good rappour between Bunce, Woodhall and Inverdale.

Alan Minter was one of the all time worst commentators the BBC ever employed. He could barely string two words together, yet the Beeb kept on dragging him out.

Anyone remember the early days of Sky boxing with Gary Norman ( I think ) the guy was just terrible....thankfully they opened the trap door on him and he disappeared.

Didn't Gary Norman have some pull with Sky, much like Gary Newbon on ITV (head of boxing or something). I remeber he was heavily involved with the FW deal, well he was interviewed in much of the press. His voice was annoying and was very bias.

Gary Newbon doing his interviews with Naz in his leopard tie was something that used to infuriate me, imagine if Naz would have got sparked. Talk about being neutral. Other than that though I miss Newbon, used to set some real taxing questions, if memory surves me correct.

I wish the BBC (England) would consider Colin Jones as a commentator, I like him in doing the Welsh bouts - not sure what his knowledge is like on the world scene or even the non-welsh fighters, but he's speaks clearly, looks presentable enough and certainly was a great fighter.

why do commentators nowadays have to speak for every bloody second of a round (sky and the BBC)? Can't they stop blabbering on and let the action do the talking for a couple of seconds? I'm dreading tonight......Woods will be fighting 4 different people........Eastwood/ John Wayne

Yes that's him, very annoying voice. Don't think he had any pull at Sky, was just a presenter like Dempsey is these days ( I'm not sure Dempsey even likes boxing BTW, but he's a good anchor man )
Norman was like some sort of hybrid Jonathon Ross, but no humour at all.
His interviews with Naz used to be pretty sickening, as he'd just gush praise and not actualy ask anything ( like Naz needed to be told he was fantastic ).
Newbon was as rude as they come, but at least he spoke his mind...I remember talking to him, expecting a confrontational type, but he's the exact opposite when he's outside of work.

By the way Stu, do BBC Wales show any boxing these days? I know you mentioned the early Enzo fights were shown there, and I just noticed BBC Wales is on Sky digital.
And yes, Colin Jones would be good addition - better than some of the boxers Sky and BBC already use..

I like Kevin Mitchell as a fighter, but I don't much like the way he stalks around the ring scowling after he's just knocked out some hapless stiff with a 0-4 record.

Although he's not done a boxing show for a while mine is still undoubtedly the slimy, bluff merchant that is: Jim Rosenthal, I can't bide the guy.

Also, when he's out of the ring gobbing off Audley pisses me off, when he's actually doing his job i.e. boxing, I quite like him.

They haven't for a while (in the pro's), but they do show the WABA's annually. ITV Wales occasionally show some bouts, A Scott Gammar bout was shown last year.

Colin also does some radio work and was also a one-off special ringside guest (ala Oliver) for a Sky show in Wales (I think it was Enzo vs Kirsten).

I think we are all a bit too critical at times. I haven't met Steve Bunce but he is a colourful chap who does liven things up for Joe Public. You know after we've watched Eastman plod to a win over somebody or other as hardcore boxing fans we know the score and what the situation is but I think he animates it all quite well for everyone else.

Plus I quite like him when I catch him on Radio 5 live.

I don't know if anybody really 'annoys' me in boxing. I guess allegedly for what I perceive to be the mis-mangement of the careers of many of his fighters and how he responds to criticism like he's going through PMT.
