That Scotsman article. So it's wrong to call her big nose but ok to call her professional slapper? As far as I'm concerned bullying is a little bit more than name calling. Maybe I'm a caveman but the nanny state attitude of the last two decades has caused more problems by 'recognition' of various 'plights' than it has ever solved as far as I'm concerned. So many people seem to want to be 'sufferers' of some syndrome or social ill or another these days that they create problems when there are none, thus belittling those who are really suffering in life, the true victims of real problems. But hey, as long as it gets them more air time. I don't wish to be overly harsh towards Jodie Marsh, but this is the woman who starred in a reality show designed to find her a husband who she would actually marry on camera. She does like attention.

Has Jodie Marsh ever done anything worthwhile for anyone else in her entire life? She was a model or something wasn't she? She's got a great body (pre roids) to be fair but whats the script how did she get famous?

Sorry,
But couldn't care a toss what comes out of her mouth.
She goes to the opening of an envelope wearing nothing but gaffer tape covering her axe wound - hardly the persona of a bullied individual.
Let me tell you something, a girl aged 11 hung herself at Christmas about 10 doors from my house, she was silently picked on for the years for being a beautiful looking girl who was also academic. Hit and mentally tortured on facebook.
The first i'd heard of the tragedy was when I went to the local shop to buy milk & bread etc, and I was shocked when there was a sign that read "No eggs will be sold to under 16s".
I asked why the sign saying that? and was informed of the girl's suicide, but even more terrible is that a flock of girls went and pelted their grieving parents home with eggs after news broke she'd hung herself.
I dont live in leafy buckinghamshire, nor do I live on the Gaza strip. This is a normal 2.4 children average-Joe area. And I couldn't believe my eyes.
So when i read about bullying, there is a clear distinction between bitching teenagers and the heavy end of the scale. Having this slapper as some sort of anti-bullying patriot is vile in my opinion and hardly the stuff to aspire to - a tits-out bag on steroids.

As annoying as Jodie Marsh is she certainly seems to have an problem with her body . Wannabe glamour model who has repeated plastic surgery now body builder changing her shape again..
It's certainly believable that she was bullied but I suspect Hearn is the main target of her accusations from the past because of his money and fame.
If he did make her life a misery then you would never forget it and probably want revenge at some point but only they know.

If it was all bollocks then why doesn't Hearn sue her - because it is fornicating true - and getting her nose broke through the bullying doesn't make it small potatoes.

Who's sticking up for anyone? I'm just questioning her - and I find her very questionable indeed. Genuine bullying is a terrible thing, but name calling is neither here nor there to me - that's just kids being kids and kids are cruel. But that doesn't make them bullies. I was called names - including 'big nose' - all through my school years but I don't consider myself to have been bullied. I also called other kids names, but don't consider myself to have been a bully. It was just school life as far as I'm concerned. But I saw kids genuinely being bullied and it bore no relation whatsoever to a bit of back and forward piss taking, no matter how cutting the insults might have been. I just don't trust a professional media whore to give an accurate view of any situation, they always have one main agenda - attention. And Marsh has shown she will do anything to get attention. It's unfortunate because rather than highlight a true problem her very involvement belittles the issue IMO.

That is the most tragic story I have heard for a long time.

Verbal bullying is as bad as physical bullying. You obviously were of strong enough character to accept the big nose jibe through your school life and get on with it but a personal comment like that can shatter someones confidence in their appearance.

Very true FR, we're all different. My point though is that by making more out of these problems than perhaps needs be, in a classic PC/nanny state fashion, actually lowers certain people's tolerance to any form of adversity. It could be that Marsh very genuinely felt very upset about being told she had a big nose. That's highly likely in fact, given that her whole life has been based on a perception of herself as glamorous. One man's floor is another man's ceiling I suppose.
And that's a bloody sad story Gomez, horrible. The cyber age puts a whole different slant on name calling. It needn't stop, it can go on 24/7 and it very definitely can amount to bullying. I don't know how I would have reacted to that kind of onslaught, it must be horrible. Poor girl.

Glyn I definitely get your point about lowering peoples tolerance, add to that the modern day desperation to be physically perfect and it's easy to hurt some one's feelings but that can go deep for some.
That story about the girl is f'cking horrible and depressingly familiar it seems with the some of the selfish little rats that run together thinking nothing of how other people feel. pudenda!!!

So no one think that her current damaged and incredibly needy personality could have something to do with a terrible childhood?
And the response on here to her saying she was bullied is attack and criticise her?
No wonder people don't speak up.

Do all the reality TV needy wannabes have terrible childhoods then? Or is it just another bandwagon for them to jump on? I think it's more the latter, a cultural disease. Marsh is only an exception in that she has had more success at being famous for being famous than the others (within the confines of not being very famous at all). And one would think that one so sensitive and attuned as Marsh wouldn't have made repeated derogatory comments about Jordan. But of course that wasn't bullying.
Yes I'll criticise her. Her whole life is a monument to emptiness and idiocy and the cheap dumbed down world we live in. If someone real were to make a show about bullying I'd take it seriously. It certainly is an issue. But this buffoon? Can you really trust her over anything she says? I can't. She'll say anything for a quid.
