Agreed. I'm glad he got out.
I'll miss those big nights when Lennox was fighting but it's totally the right time to get out, nothing left to prove, you cleaned up your own generation the next one, and made a start on the one after that!

MW, Lewis is only the WBC champion now - and apparently its going to be Sanders vs Klitchko. If your refering to the whose the man championship or lineal championship, then yes there needs to be at least a unification championship. Even if Klitchko KO's Sanders convincingly, then I still can't call him the man - especially as Byrd beat him. There is also Ruiz and maybe Jones to consider aswell.MightyWarrior wrote:He'll be back

A word to ANY BRITISH fan preparing to be snidey about Lennox.
Think about the last "real" (linear or undisputed) UK Heavyweight Champ and how long ago it was.
I think it may well be the same before the next.
I have enjoyed having the chance to say to the Colonials "our boy beats yours" - I probably won't get another.

Good decision Lennox, I would've liked to see him rematch Klitty but there's no place for criticism here. He did it all, nothing more to prove.

Bookmakers William Hill are quoting odds of 7-2 that Lennox will fight again within two years. Hills also give Audley Harrison a 9-2 chance of becoming world champion (WBA, WBC,WBO,or IBF) within the same space of time.
