Yes, its over for Frank. I said it way back when the channel was still free, this is a super arrogant move by Warren and will spell the death of his business. He has done almost everything wrong regarding the new channel. He has alienated customers and devalued his own product. Some of the comments from his employees border on the insane. I subscribed to watch Cotto V margarito and basically wouldn't have paid tuppence for his domestic shite that he puts out. His public relations team should be birched.
Couldn't happen to a nicer group of folk (FWank, Bunce, AA and the laddies)

Hard to disagree - it was always a bold move going it alone, and I agree that channel has (and will not) take off as they had hoped. Maybe 20 years ago in the absence of the internet and streaming but not now.
Yes it is on the slide for sure, but a valid case could be made for the entire sport of boxing being on the slide also.

His channel and bunces shitty show give it a low grade feel and rawlings trying to be like bunce with his frankly embarrasing interview with chisora and vitali was disgusting and disgraceful to see rawlings lose his dognity like that

Warren hasn't recovered since losing Calzaghe and Khan. He needs a star. In fact, British boxing needs a star.

FW has got greedy, £10 a month is expensive for the product on offer, i guarantee that for £5 a month he would get at least 2 times the amount of subscribers for TV. Or he should at least offer the product via internet for maybe 3 or 4 quid a month, as people will watch it via pc anyway......without paying a penny.
who else on here, who is not a subscriber at present, would buy the internet/smart phone variation of the product for £3 per month??

That's true. Although the sport in general is on the slide because guys like Warren, Arum, King, Mendoza, Muhammed, Haymon and Sulleiman get to run it into the ground. It's clear to any free thinkers what needs to happen to fix the mess. Having said that PPV figures still dump on UFC and are bigger than they were in the past especially for lighter weight fighters.

Bang on. The price is ridiculous for what's on offer.

The whole channel was one big gamble not sure how long its going to last. Since it went subcription its not been good.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but we've had 6 or 7 live nights of action since it went to subscription, only 3 this year. We were promised 2 a week (thats less than a pint per show...or something).
Now unless I'm very mistake this was a channel aimed at the hardcore boxing fans, the type of fans who will stay/get up at 6 or 7 for a good fight, the type that will be happy to watch a full night of boxing cards from around the world...yet we've not had a late card all year (and only 1 international card)...
Anyone able to recall when the last card was that came "as originally announced"?
And for £3 or £4 I'd instantly sign up for a smartphone version of the channel...heck they should be doing an app with highlights of whatever they've shown recently...but they've shown **** all.

I foolishly paid the £50.00 for 6 months. better cancel the credit card just in case they try and take more money when the 5/6 months is up. Is it a rolling payment?

I gave the channel the benefit of doubt when they were not showing the 2 shows that they had promised with it being Christmas, but now Christmas has gone we had no show last week, but 2 this week & still some blank weekends showing. I have paid my 6 months subscription so cant cancel it now. But there is no way in the world I will be renewing if there isnt an improvement.

They should have been picking up stuff like Saturday's card in Germany or the Asian stuff over December (Kameda triple-header, Uchiyama/Solis, Hernandez v Pormpramook) IMO.

The worst possible thing that could happen to British boxing would be for FW to go under.
He is by far the best promoter in the UK, if he was the only promoter UK, wih full control, boxing would be bigger than UFC.

I think a lot will depend on how long he will give allegedly. One thing Warren was tremendous at, no matter what the content is like - ticket sales would always be good. For his small hall (non world title) bills in recent times - tickets sales have looked dire.
He still has the stable of fighters, the only world champions in the UK are from him. I'm sure some TV companies (maybe even terrestial who knows) will take him back if he decides to kick the allegedly thing into touch. However, fighters might get impatient.
He seems to be very good at fixing apparent burned bridges (I believe sky insinuated a few years ago that they would never take him back after he left for ITV).
I also think Queensbury promotions might become a bigger and bigger player - almost in a similar way to how allegedly promotions took over from Sports Network.
So conclusion - on the slide.... I would say Yes...... Can the damage be rectified.... I would say Yes. Its certainly not over, and he is still the biggest promoter in the UK.
