Everyone at Team Clev are delighted to invite fans to a public workout of WBO world light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly from 1PM-4PM on Sunday February 12th at the Planet Fitness gym.

As Cleverly winds down his preparations for his fight against Tommy Karpency at the Motorpoint Arena on February 25th, fans will be able to watch him train which will include sparring and pad work with trainers Vince Cleverly and Alan Davies.

Also on show will be:

Former world and current European champion, Gavin Rees.
British and Commonwealth champion, Lee Selby.
British title contenders Hari Miles and Robbie Turley.
Welsh prospects, Lewis Rees and Liam Williams.
Top class trainers, Dai Gardner, Gary Lockett and Darren Wilson.

More boxers are expected to be confirmed shortly.

Fans will also have the opportunity to meet the boxers, have photos and get their memorabilia signed – items will have to be personalized to stop profiteering.

They'll be there, and to be honest will see more action than the fight itself.

I was reading that Tommy Karpency is a nurse. He's been working double shifts just so he's allowed to take the time off to fly over, fight, then fly home again.

Clev deserves a decent opponent and so do his loyal fans.

The stepped up to 175lb almost 4 years ago, he's had 11 fights at the weight now and not a single one in Wales.

Liverpool, London, then Liverpool, then London again, Swindon, then London again....

Now they have a 'homecoming' and he gets an unknown nurse, working double shifts to get the night off.

Those lads have packed into coaches for years now, and that's there reward - plus a few "we want Hopkins" press releases.
