Following a recent little Klitchsko viewing session I decided to come up with this how would Wladimir and Vitali K stack up against the following
Lennox Lewis (Vitali gets a rematch)
Riddick Bowe
Evander Holyfield
George Foreman
Larry Holmes
Mike Tyson
Ken Norton
Muhammed Ali
Sonny Liston

Hmm
v Lennox Lewis: I think Vitali fired up by the fact he was beating Lewis on the scorecards will beat Lewis in a thrilling contest that seems both them get rocked as for Wladmir, I have got Lewis down for a KO on this one actually because Wlad's got the weaker chin and I think Lewis is the better finisher of the two
v Riddick Bowe. Again that's a tough one to call because depends if Bowe turns up in shape etc. Bowe has got the power and fought very well on the inside which will be something Wladimir does not like so I think Bowe beats Wladimir. However Bowe comes unstuck against Vitali as Vitali regularly jolt's Bowe's head back his combinations and bigger punching power.
v Evander Holyfield. If they get their jabs going than Holyfield is in for a rough night. If not Holyfield will look to box and move rough them both on the side by digging to the body and slipping out. I do think Holyfield will have enough power to drop Wladimir but not Vitali and I think Holyfield falls short against Wladimir and as for Vitali after working Holyfield's game tries to back Holyfield onto the ropes but looks to keep enough distance to make sure his overhand right is effective.
And I will do the rest later as it is late.

Wow, for real?

Now that I know Vitali hit harder than Bowe, I have a new-found respect for Shannon Briggs' iron whiskers

Wlad loses to all of them.
Vitali has a chance to outpoint Tyson & Holyfield.

I assume these threads are supposed to be prime for prime. Vitali might have beaten old fat Lewis had they rematched at the time, but he doesn't beat a prime Lewis.

Shannon must have become more durable at the age of 40 and being grossly overweight.

I think it's very simply, the Brothers K lose to every single guy on that list.
What is their body of work exactly? Wins over Sam Peter, mixed results vs a fat 40 year old Corrie Sanders, Chagaev, Haye, Arreolla. Oh God, it actually makes me sick!!!

Thank you!!!
They lose to any quality guy not forty pounds lighter and a foot shorter you can name!

I'd imagine close fights with all of them except for Ali who would beat them both convincingly (I guess).
Vitali has a good chin and throws a lot of punches. He's also always in shape. This means he's a difficult opponent for anyone.
Wlad is quicker, sharper and more powerful but lacks the punch resistance to be able to fight offensively with confidence.
I'd expect Foreman, Liston and Tyson to eventually get their man despite Wlad fighting cautiously and intelligently.

But Ezzard, that was the NORM in the aforementioned fighters day. Being in shape and throwing lots of punches wouldn't make him in any way unique in those eras!
When Vitali encountered a man who made him fight and threw a lot of punches back - a fat, fading Lennox Lewish who was pushing 40 - he was knackered himself after 6 rds, and cut to ribbons. Fancy him over 15 rds versus those guys, who weren't lugging around fat guts/jiggling tits or weight lifter physiques?
Totally different world to the lardy one that the Brothers K 'reign' over.

both the bros lose convincingly to all of them
holyfield maybe has problems due to his cruiserweight build, but his warrior spirit would see him through
lewis was fat and unmotivated and still cut the elder brother to pieces
ali ties them in knots
tyson gets under those pawing jabs and demolishes both of them
bowe, almost their size and when in the zone could box, fight, dance or slug, wins win by shutout
foreman and liston, stoppage due to brothers soiling their trunks
norton, wide points margin, superior work rate inside and out
id`e even give dear old frank bruno a punchers chance with these two, bruno in six,bit dodgy after that as frank was almost always knackered after halfway

Ezzards statement jumped out at me, too.
Those are entirely standard qualities to most past guys.

I read IRLangmaid25s post as Vitali hits harder - when compared with Wlad, not Bowe (although Wlad was mention in the sentence before).

I still think they are hard fighters to beat. A swinger can/could buy a lottery ticket to Wlad’s chin. But since he became more cautious, like Lennox, nobody has really troubled him.
They don’t have the record for me to think they can beat those guys but I wouldn’t rule out competitive fights either.
Size, volume and a sturdy chin makes Vitali a formidable opponent. How many substantially bigger men did Liston and Foreman beat? Who would bet on Foreman if Vitali is still standing going into the 7th?
I guess my point is these two have those standard qualities, the same dedication, the same professionalism and they are big boys who know how to use their size. Bowe has Evander on his record which are two great wins but Vitali would never have been beaten up by Golota, sparked by Rahman or McCall. Doesn’t mean anything conclusive. Just sayin’….

"foreman and liston, stoppage due to brothers soiling their trunks" tommo100
Like to hear the ring announcer call that one out.

Wlad loses all of them.
Vitali is a more difficult guy to rate . . .his resume is comprised of a bunch of tomato cans that he beats without barely breaking a sweat. But, although he was up on the cards, he still managed to find a way to lose to the two best guys he ever fought in Byrd and Lennox (and I don't think he was having an easy time vs Byrd by any means before he retired on his stool).
I'd say Vitali has fair chances (40%) to beat Tyson and Norton, but that'd be it. Regarding a Lewis rematch, if Lennox would've been able to train hard and get into 75% of the condition he was in for the Rahman rematch, he wins convincingly.

Shannon Briggs would never go 12 rds with Lewis or Bowe. Under no circumstances could Chris Byrd ever make Lewis or Bowe quit on their stool.
Also, Andrew Golota 1996 is better than any man Vitali Klitschko has ever beaten.

Wlad, Bowe, they both thump a lot harder than Vitali.
