Just watched the opening round of Foreman-Kirkman, and Foreman answers the first-round bell by racing forward and pushing Kirkman very deliberately to the canvas. No subtlety to it, he just flagrantly rag dolls him with his first move. Gets promptly warned, then gets to fighting.

The only possible sense I could make of this is he was meaning to intimidate Kirkman --- other than that, Im stumped. Curious move.

What other moments have befuddled you? Campbell against Peden, where he dropped his hands and walked in was odd (and obviously idiotic).

...i love that foreman/kirkman bit....i'm sure it was meant to intimidate kirkman.

marvis frazier moving into larry holmes in what i suppose his father taught him was bobbing and weaving is a goofy one that comes to mind.

George pushed all his opponents during fights although that one was pretty unusual...before a punch was even thrown

The referee leaves the ring after 3 or 4 rounds but the two men continue with out a referee. Pretty unusual and very weird watching it.

Bonin v Silvin
Hard to find a weirder fight than this. It genuinely seems like they picked Silvin from the crowd because he was a big bloke, he had no skill, kept turning all the way around but still manages to drop Bonin in a very weird fight

First Burke is wearing shorts that cover nothing...then he runs head first into the only punch thrown in the fight
Then you have the really obvious ones (Tyson and the biting, McCalls breakdown, Fan man, underwear fan in the Zarate/Zamora fight, the double knockdown in Bundrage's fight with Powell)

Bowe-Tillery and Newman's involvement was hilarious, but the riots you're thinking of took place during the first Bowe-Golota affair, not their return bout.

Gah there was always something about Bowe >_>...what was with him and controversy...

Bowe was a bully and a thug, and Newman --- who was much the same --- encouraged it with his own aggression.
