What has happened to Darren Barker?

Does anyone know why Barker is no longer on the Brook v Hatton undercard? I know boxers get injured or moved on to other bills, but it's annoying when you have bought tickets for a show after someone like Barker has been named chief support only for him to be removed without any explanation as to why.

He was never on the bill mate, that's a fact.

In an interview on another site about 3-4 weeks ago Eddie Hearn said he was. It was partly why I was thinking of going too. Proksa's a good 'replacement' mind.

He also said 5000 tickets sold in a matter of days then retracted.

The ticket numbers are over 8000 now.

Distributed is what he actually said.
He said actual sales were about 1000 in first week.
I'm sure ticket sales are going well but I'm also certain Barker was not going to be on this bill due to other negotiations taking place.

Well yes but 5000 people from that will be there on the night so same difference. I think it was his intention to put Barker on the bill in non competetive fight, but then negotiations with Pirog have been going well so he has been replaced by Proska

In the early days of the bill, he was announced as v TBA on the undercard.
Have a look at this.

Third paragraph. The story is actually "Barker off Sheffield Undercard", but the guy that writes Matchroom's press releases is a damn site better at it than most of the people doing PR in boxing.

Purse bids for Barker v Murray postponed by Board yesterday.
