ben jones is a good fighter hell step up to the mark with smith and this will or could turn into a good fight but see smith comin out on top

Jones is a good boxer, but Smith's spoiling style not good for him. Ben is good to watch so i'd steer him in another direction.

The WBO interconti shite seems to have made an unwelcome return recently...spoils what should be a final eliminator between two highly rated British title contenders.

Fight is all agreed Swifty Smith v Ben Jones. I'm really pleased to have this fight on, Ben Jones gave Selby a hard time, they are both very much up for it, will defo be a good scrap, exactly the type of fight I want on my shows!

Again an easy fight for swifty.

Not a bad match at al IMO. Obviously Smith has the higher profile so I can understand how people might think Jones is easy for him, but Swifty is coming off a bad stoppage loss and moving up a division and these things level the playing field significantly. I'd rate it a 60-40 in Smith's favour due to experience as we've yet to see what Jones is like at this level and he could thrive as easy as fall. Interesting whatever way it goes.

i like this fight ben jones will step up to the plate i reckon and it will b a good fight but takin smith to win in the end

The inter fights are making a return again!

Sadly they are. Mentioned that to Francis W on Twitter yesterday re this fight, it just doesn't need it. Those things are superfluous to good fights. I mean, Brook vs Hatton for God's sake, who cares about their manky meaningless belts? It's the quality of match that counts. Just have a non- title 12-rounder ffs, if anything taking on a big fight without there being a belt on the line reflects better on everyone involved IMO. Yet they insist on paying sanction fees for these stupid things just so they can have belts on their posters and, in the worst instances, advertise their fights as being for world titles. I'll stop now because I could go on all day about this one.

Ben Jones is English champ surely they could fight for that the inter titles always have been shite. Brook V Hatton is 2 top 20 fighters get it on needs no title at all. The winner we surely be in line for World title as both highly ranked.

I think it's a very decent comeback fight for Smith.

I agree, but Mr FW doesn't seem to be a fan of English/British titles, prefers to put fighters up for silly WBO intercontintal belts - it sounds cooler to the kids you know
