Donald MaCrae always nails it and this interview with Del Boy is another cracker:

Excellent piece. He has a great style of writing McRae and I always read everything he says with interest after having read Dark Trade which I loved. Chisora, in reality, is going to take a beating here but at least he will come to fight which should make it an interesting spectacle for a few rounds.

Nice to see Chisora coming across well. Whilst I've no doubt he'll be in for a painful night, I reckon he'll certainly go for it

It's made me like the lad, that's for certain.
C'mon Del Boy!

Great interview by one of boxing's best. Chisora is really out there, it's a shame he didn't get Wlad, because he'd probably blow his mind in the run up. Vitali wont care what he says.
"I don't wish to take a kiss from you," Klitschko said, primly... Hilarious !

Very good article. I had the pleasure of meeting Chisora at his gym in Finchley before his first fight with Wlad. I took some pictures and interviewed him but didn't bother trying to publish them after hearing the fight was cancelled. The highlight of my visit was when everyone froze in horror and stared at something behind me. I turned to see several policemen striding towards the ring. This wasn't long after Dereck had been convicted for slapping his girlfriend, so it was easy to imagine he'd been caught misbehaving again and could kiss goodbye to his boxing career. But they'd just come to say hello and watch him on the pads. It was obvious Dereck had become something of a local hero and had charmed these coppers while out and about. He even invited one of them to come back and work out with him. This wasn't just a stunt to impress the police. Even in the run up to a world title challenge, I noticed Chisora always found time to chat and share a joke with the regular gym members. I saw him whispering encouragement to a little boy in boxing gloves who clearly worshipped him. I got a glimpse of the crazy side of Dereck too and I think he's going to need that against Vitali.
Hope you like the pictures:

I'd imagine Steve Bunce interviewing Dereck would have been like Abbott and Costello's "Who's on First?" sketch.
Dereck "I'm not saying I'm straight or not"
Steve "Lets get this straight..."
Dereck [interupts] "No, I've got gay friends but I'm not gay, but I swing both ways"
Steve "So, lets get this right..."
Dereck [interupts] "No, It might be left, it might be right..."

Is he bi-sexual?

He's tri-sexual.
I'll give Chisora this much, he's got personality, but personality doesn't win fights. Klitchsko is boring as owt, but he's winning this unless he throws his shoulder out.

Edit: just noticed the name. You are a pro. Thought so. Like I said, very good work.
Thanks a lot MachoMan. I do sell a few pics but I wouldn't call myself a pro. My day job is in radio news.

Damn straight. Well, you know what I mean.
McRae tried his very best to out him, that's for sure. Sounds like Dereck had a harder spar with him than with Ali Adams.

I've just seen a very odd Reuters interview with Chisora in Munich. He said he'd been skiing for the first time and would never fornicating do that again. He seemed agitated and angry and he couldn't stop swearing. No idea why he seemed so upset - hope it's not significant.

It's quite simple...........
When he was relaxed and mouthing off, the fight was weeks away, but now its 24 hours away and Dereck is getting anxious and nervous because he knows reality is knocking at his door...............and soon it will be his chin !!

What ? He seriously goes skiing for the first time just before his world heavyweight title fight ? What next, a quick sky dive ? ...could be a good ring entrance I guess..
