Thats the rumours on Fightnews, the former WBO Super Feather and Lightweight champion is coming back at Light Middleweight.

Very strange decision, hope he aint in financial difficulties.

I'm hoping it's nothing more of a 1-time deal to "pass the torch"

Its obvious isn't it. Canelo beats Mosley, Freitas next then Corrales in a tune up for Gatti.

Can I slip in my joke here about Alvarez being desperate to get Ulises Solis in for a rematch, if he can't get Giovanni Segura to agree to terms?

I've posted it before, but every time the Ginger one's name comes up I feel the need to point out just how mollycoddled the boy is.

He's fight Brazlian, silver spoon chewing, wonderkid (!) Michael Oliveira http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer

It's been talked about in Brazil for the last 7-8 months and given than Oliveira is a soft looking middle will probably be done at a catchweight at 156/157. Shocking fight but it will be big in Brazil, the kid is treated like a minor Canelo there and Popo is their biggest name around (though long retired). Probably a better fight than Mormeck v WK though..............

It's supposed to be at 154 which I guess will become "Rocky's" weight.
