I turned professional at boxing only 10 months ago expecting to be an active fighter! Previously I done kickboxing and started having problems where people would make excuses not to fight me! I then started to box amateur where i soon felt it was not really a fight with very cushioned gloves on and head guards "no disrespect it requires talent" so wanted to turn professional... I then turned professional at boxing where i have had 3 fights and winning all 3 with 2 by stoppage! I don't claim to be the best fighter in the world i just want that chance to be fighting more often and then try and prove myself!? I was semi confirmed to fight on the 10th March where names were mentioned and then all a sudden it never happened, then i got confirmed for the 25th February same again the fighters name and such was set then that got called off?!? I am not making out people are avoiding me but is this the way its gonna be all the time or will i get fights eventually??? I aim to be fighting in the super featherweight division but recently been matched around lightweight which is not ideal... Please someone fight me :) :) :)

Ronnie, your name came up a few times last week on here. The topic was Prospects for 2012. Heard a few things about Craig Evans turning down a fight with you. I have saw you before and you look like you have power, a lot of power, go to the body well. I like your attitude coming on here and confirming you will fight anyone. Hope you get a fight soon. If he was selling tickets well he should get the fights ,

would be interested to know how many you do mate ?

If you can shift them then any promotor would want you on their shows in theory

Ronnie when fighting kickboxing and fighting in Glasgow would sell round about 50 to 70 tickets from dundee which does not include fans from Glasgow who would go every fight. when travelling down to birmingham to fight Qasim Beg there was around 40 tickets sold. Ronnie fought Qasim twice moving up weight twice and fighting him in his hometown. Qasim very good fighter but Ronnie at his own weight had never beaten .

Ronnie, Where are you training/sparring now?
Haven't seen you in Norrie's for a while. They have a new gym, looks promising.

I am training at the Fighting Scots Gym with Billy Nelson.

I am not fighting now until April which feels like forever away.

My impression of being a fighter is to fight as much as possible :)

Must say though take one fight at a time :P

No? Neither have i.

It seems to me that it can be hard to get regular fights in your own area (county) depending on the amount of promotional activity. At the moment the South Wales scene seems to be picking up abit but probably not quick enough for a boxer who wants to be active. I think that's why the decent Tony Pace has gone on the road and that brings the problem of not always getting fair treatment.
