This kid has talent. Forget your Degale's, this guy has been in rough, fighting around the American gyms, taking his licks. He looks to have some bottle on him and confidence, like his Dad (who I am a massive fan of). Bottle, graft and confidence can take you a fair way. He can fight a bit too.

Early days. No, make that VERY early days.

I watched Ball last year in a close fight with the Heavyhanded Frankie Borg and he looks a decent fighter.

Very good choice of opponent for the young Eubank; should be a cracking fight.

Really tough match up for Eubank in his second fight could see him fighting Nick Blackwell this time next year for the English if he keeps upping the level of oppostion

The topics today and I watched the video today, both concerning Eubank Jnr.

i think the eubank video comment is relavent. It shows this kid has some kind of fire and killer instinct that totally belies his privaleged upbringing and his preppie school demeanour in that old "at home with the eubanks" reality show.

I agree - it does show that he likes to fight as well as liking the sport of boxing - which is interesting

He certainly looked the part in his first pro outing & I am looking forward to seeing him again tonight.

My only worry with him is the constant presence of his celebrated father.

Granted his father is the reason by Jr is boxing etc, but every time I see Jr, Chrisk Eubank Sr is there too.

He's got pressure enough carrying the name Chris Eubank & having his dad there all the time must surely be heaping more pressure on him.

Flipside; he looks like a kid that can handle it & will probably go on to have a great career.

why is that a problem, where would you expect Sr to be? he is supporting his lad, if anything it should make it easier for Jr.

I disagree syntax error, I think Eubank Jr having Eubank Sr on board will be better for him.

Who better to guide a fighter & offer advice than your father who has been there & done it all?

I do get what you're saying though, but as long as Eubank Sr doesn't take centre stage, I don't see a problem with it.

One concern I reckon could be Chris Senior's influence. Even in his first bout he was wandering up to the corner to give advice and I think he could be the ghost that haunts Chris Junior's career.

Eubank Jnr on now, anybody watching? Surely he's hurt his right hand, he hasn't thrown one since the third round. It's all left hand happy. The commentators don't seem to have noticed anything untoward.
