I was not surprised. Col had been losing too frequently lately. Lucas was too young and too strong for him.

There'll probably wheel Wilson out for another Aussie title challenge in 2-3 years. Maybe if Browne vacates Wilson can fight his nemesis Bob Mirovic.

What an action night that would be - Zimmer frames at 10 paces, not unlike the mooted Stallone and Arnie action film!

For their own sake I would not like to see Bob or Col fight again.

Col and Blair two top blokes: but really Col needs to quit (should have ages ago) as he has nothing more to prove.... he probably sees getting in the ring as a bit of fun and make some extra cash while he's at it....

Getting hit with five consecutive rights could not have been much fun. By the third round Col's defence was gone.

seems to also have somewhat quick hands. Kept his composure as well as could of been tempting to try blast Wilson out in first round. Thought he was very respectful after the fight. And Wilson does need to hang them up-barrages like the ones he took could be very damaging.

That sucks. Just read that he retired too. Is it absolutely the end, though? Plenty of fighters have come back from that before, although of course the severity differs.
