The ibf are going to order soliman to box the highest ranked challenger in the ibf befor making him the number 1 contender for geale/adama winner, Sam is 2 and Sergio Martinez is 3. Does anyone think that fight is a chance of happening because Im sure martinez would want a crack at another world title. Of course martinez could pass on the offer and they would go with the next highest ranked fighter. Thoughts if the fight happened?

this fight wil never happen martinez is after the big fights and soliman just isnt it i cant believe hes ranked so high hes got a victory over garth wood who holds a win/loss against mundine.

Martinez is WBC Diamond Middleweight Champion. If he wanted to try to combine his title with the IBF title he would fight Geale.

Didn't Martinez give up his WBC Diamond belt because he was over paying sanctioning fees and because they were not forcing a fight with JCC Jnr?

He defends it against Matthew Macklin at Madison Square Gardens on St Patrick's day, so obviously not.

Ok, well it was reported in December that he had dropped the belt. But I guess he has taken it back up since then.
