How about Charley Burley vs Sugar Ray Robinson

A fight that should have happened but didn't. Greatest boxer that never won a title Burley vs Robinson should have been great. Who do you guys pick in this fight?
Is this one of those peak v. peak hypotheticals, or do you have a particular date in mind? (I understand this fight was once either proposed or actually signed for 1946.)Borinken25 wrote:A fight that should have happened but didn't. R, the bout between Ray Robinson and Charley Burley never came about because Burley was a great risk, with little reward for Robinson. Hard to pick but the Ray Robinson I saw as a welterweightraylawpc wrote:Is this one of those peak v. peak hypotheticals, or do you have a particular date in mind? Yes, I knew that. Ray got out of it by demanding too much money.beaujack wrote:R, the bout between Ray Robinson and Charley Burley never came about because Burley was a great risk, with little reward for Robinson.
