Vs Cristian Sanavia. Was this not put out to bids some time ago? I'm sure i read somewhere that the winning bid was from round zero. Anybody got any info? Has DeGales problem with FW put the brakes on his career for now?
4 months is a long time for a prospect such as JD to be out of the ring with no news of a return.

Sure I read somewhere that Cristian Sanavia's promoters won the re-purse bid and the date is still tba.

I believe the purse bids were due on 31th January. I thought you then got 14 days to submit a date and venue? Although I could be wrong (I usually am)

allegedly won the initial bid, Degale and him had a dispute over payments and the bill got cancelled. Went back out to purse bids and i'm sure Cristian Sanavia's promoters won.

I think DeGale may have jumped ship a bit too soon.

Can't see this happening, for several reasons.

Looks like DeGale now has a date but whether it happens is anyone's guess.

Hmmm.. Denmark for a fight between brit and an Italian, interesting.
I'm looking forward to seeing how he fights in his next bout as it'll tell us a lot about DeGale, he's had two hard fights in which he's been asked to go 12 competitive rounds, hopefully they will have given him the wake up he needs to learn that he doesn't know everything and develop his style.
I heard Haye say that he sees Groves being 6 fights away from a world title, that being the case I think DeGale may be further.

i had high hopes of De Gale. He really impressed vs Smith and felt he had the potential to go on to big things.
I question his attitude & camp now though. I seen an interview with Froch on ringside in the build up to the Ward fight and he was talking about De Gale. He wanted to spar with him because he felt he would be the best guy to mimmick Wards style, so they got in touch with his team. His team got back to him, saying that be fine if he wanted to come down.... Froch said, well, im in a training camp, i need him to come here, ill pay his travel and put him up in a hotel. They refused. Froch then made the point, that when he was up and coming he would have done anything to have the opprtunity to spar with world champions, it was his hunger to learn everything about the game and be the best he can be, and then said he wondered if James DeGale had the right attitude.
DeGale wasn't particularly impressive in his last time out, he was beaten by Groves because Groves had the better tactics, gameplan, and downright wanted it more. Wehn i dont doubt for a 2nd DeGale is the more talented fighter. It's such a great division aswell i doubt how far he can go.

Ali Ndiaye would be a tougher and better assignment.
