UNFINISHED BUSINESS SET FOR THE ODYSSEY ARENA, BELFAST, APRIL 14.

Fury vs. Rogan announced live on Channel 5.

Last Saturday night promoter Mick Hennessy announced live on Channel 5 in front of millions of viewers “I’m absolutely proud and delighted to say that we have got a massive fight at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on April 14th, Tyson Fury in a long awaited fight versus Martin Rogan.”

Tyson Fury vs. Martin Rogan will be shown live on Channel 5.

Both fighters were in the ring for the announcement and when Martin Rogan was asked by Channel 5’s Mark Pougatch  “How much are you looking forward to this fight in Ireland on April 14th?”

Martin Rogan responded  “Very much, very long anticipated fight, respectfully Tyson’s world number 6 and I’m getting a great opportunity thanks to Mick Hennessy, Mickey Hughes and Tyson Fury, lot’s have gone on with the politics in boxing obviously with the purse offers, but some of the phrases that were used against Tyson calling him a chicken and stuff like that I find very disrespectful because any man who steps in the ring is far from a chicken, and as I said, I respect the chance that I've been given to step in the ring.

"I’m a great heavyweight,  I’ve proved that by beating Matt Skelton, the undefeated and un-knocked out guy, I beat Audley Harrison,  so I got the pedigree to do the business on the 14 April and that’s what I intend to do.”

“Why is it Martin next for you Tyson, why is it Martin Rogan?”” ask Mark Pougatch.

Tyson Fury Said; “Well we sat down and it’s been a long decision, the fight has been off and on two or three times and it was suppose to happen last year when I fought at the Kings Hall and like you said before it’s politics that got in the way of the boxing match and that’s what it’s not about. It’s about going in there given the fans a great fight and I know Martin Rogan, I’ve grew up my full career watching him so I’ve nothing but respect for the man.

"I was watching the fights when he beat Matt Skelton and Audley Harrison and I know he is coming firing with both hands to take what I’ve got away but as he said I’m number 6 in the world and I’m working my way to a world title shot and I'm hoping I’m going to get there.”

Mark Pougatch asked Tyson “So what is your prediction for the fight on the April 14 with Martin Rogan?”

Tyson Fury answered “All I can say in prediction is this is going to be a great fight, there is going to be plenty of action and Martin Rogan always comes to fight as does Tyson Fury.

“And you are going to see two true warriors in the ring come April 14, in a fighting country as well.”

Mark Pougatch then asked Martin Rogan “A prediction from your point of view?”

Big Rogie responded “I don’t make predictions, Tyson makes predictions”

He then turned to Tyson and asked “Tyson, what round am I going to knock you out in?”

Tyson jokingly responded “The first, 10 seconds”

Martin Rogan added “Listen everybody get your arse in to gear and get to Belfast and all you Belfast people come and watch a real good fight.”

Looking forward to it but it's not David price so I'm not that excited if I'm honest.

Pulling out of purse bids to avoid facing Price kills a lot of interest in this fight.

It may not be Fury v Price but it is idiocy to say this is a "crap fight". It simply aint.

IMO it is a crap fight, Rogan has not fought for over a year and his last win against a guy with a winning record was 3 years ago and since then he has lost to Sam Sexton twice a guy who Dereck Chisora soundly beat twice. Fury is talking about the likes of Povetkin and the Klitschkos then takes a fight like this. (Whilst ducking Price)

Sadly, a win against Rogan will prove nothing.

Rogan's inactivity is certainly a negative. However, much of that was forced due to surgery to his neck on an injury he had going into Sexton II.

It's certainly not as sexy a fight as it would have been if it had taken place last September when it was originally planned. But what exactly has changed since then? Does the rise of Price suddenly turn an funny and interest fight into a "crap" one. Not in my book.

People are understandably pissed off that Price v Fury didnt come off, no matter however is at fault or for whatever reason, but its seems a little "knee-jerky" (no that is not some obscure cowboy meat derived treat) to piss all over a perfectly good fight, in my opinion.

This is not a perfectly good fight. It`s a step backwards for Fury. He should be after the European belt. I understand that he plays the Irish card and wants to milk what he can fighting low risk opponents, but it`s still annoying.

If he fought Price now, he would be knocked out and the money machine would be derailed, so you can`t blame him really.

I cant agree that Rogan is a backwards step from Pajkic and Firtha.

This fight proves nothing but its a cracking fight, rogan always gives his best and its been building up for ages without the use of bottles and tripods.

Not every fight has to be a world title.

It's not a good fight considering it should have been Price. With that said, it's not exactly a bad fight either. I will watch it with mild interest. Not sure how much Rogan will have left at 41 years old. He's not won anything of note since his Skelton win and that was back in May 2009. He's also had a couple of surgeries as well. He will give it his all though and I thought he beat Audley pretty easy so Fury’s height and reach advantage might not trouble Rogan as much.

If Tyson performs like he did against the Canadian Pavjik, he could be in trouble here, he just did not seem to want to be there and appeared as if losing interest in the game, we know he has done this from time to time and its a shame as the kid has abilities and with his size would always be in the mix as people forget he is only early 20s. Rogan will have his prizefighter rounds to cause an upset, however, if Fury comes in on song and in the right shape mentally he will end this around the 5th, but unlike many I have no huge problems with the fight, yes I would prefer Price, however, they will meet and I am ok with waiting for it to be in 2 years or so when one of the Klitschko' boys is gone and the "big one" could be on the line, (Vitali will be gone after one more) it could be really hyped by then if they both keep winning.
