I PMd you yesterday and assumed it worked. Got no reply though. I went and saw a few decent scraps. Good small hall show. Ojay Abrahams very nearly spoiled the night for young Rotherham prospect Daniel Teasdale. Howard Foster gave it 59-55 for the former Junior Amateur star but others at ringside had it much closer.

The young lad upped his workrate in the fifth and Ojay tired badly. Still, I had it level going in to the sixth and last. Ojay was knackered (understandably given the fact he was an adult before Teasdale was born!) and was dropped by a body shot for an 8 count towards the end which clinched matters.

I arrived a little late (the fight was the show opener) and got there half way through the fourth round. Paul King, making his debut from Sheffield, went after him in the fifth and caught him with several good head shots, which, to be fair, Wilson took.

King stepped it up further in the sixth and (for a 229 lbs debutant anyway!) applied relentless pressure and caught Wilson with a number of good shots. I did think he was going to be stopped at one point - not that he was really badly staggered but he was getting hit very often and not doing much in reply. But my thoughts were misplaced as I hadn't seen the early rounds...

I was amazed when Wilson's hand was raised in the end! He must have built up a big lead and then TRIED to get on his bike - not a tactic I'd advise in future! He won 58-57.
