Id personally like to see more of the cruiserweights this year. Bring on Pitt vs Forsyth, Vea vs Soi, Amman vs Fuiava.
Thoughts? or other division match ups you'd like to see this year?

I'd like to see Robbie Berridge versus Kerry Foley rematch (the first one left a very sour taste.)
Also Vaitele Soi against any of the Aussie Cruisers. Would be interesting to see how he compares.

Definitely, tbh, id rather see Soi vs Forsyth rather than Pitt v Forsyth.

I know this won't be everyones cup of tea, but i think it's time for Green to set up a Contender show for Cruisers here.
Same principle as the one, winner gets a shot at Green a Commonwealth title, IBO title or to fight in an eliminator, of course Green will need a win or 2 whilst the show runs.
Contenders;
Shane cameron 28-2-0
Brad Pitt 12-0-0
Vatali Soi 19-0-0
Adam Forsyth 10-0-0
Anthony McCracken 14-5-1
Victor Oganov 31-5-0
Dominic Vea 13-3-0
Danial Ammann 23-5-1
Pieter Cronje 13-4-1
David Aloua 6-0-0
Mahamod azzouri 26-6-3
Shane Chapman 11-2-0
Possible Candidates for the show
Big lt Heavys
Robert Berridge 13-0-1
Kerry Foley 14-1-1
Danial baff 12-2-1
Soul Powencby 19-0-0
Warren Fuiava 15-0-0
Possible Cruisers Prospect ( similar to wood and McCulloch's entry)
Mostyn Nieman 6-1-0
Hunter Sam 4-1-1
Kane Watts 7-1-0
Jamie Bogavic 5-1-0
Jake Revill 5-0-0
Possibility of trans tri nations Contender with introduction of South Africa
Daniel Bruwer 21-3-1
Flo Simba 11-2-0
Really think this would be good to set up the final mid year, with both Fighters Green & Winner to fight late year.
Green could get another name from Europe maybe the Frogomeni vs Branco winner as a fight back, then maybe someone ranked top 15 with a title of significance , then the winner, he'll either pass the torch or reamerge as a serious contender, with maybe 1 more title shot.
Upside, more exposure to our local fighters, ask Wood if the contender was beneficial.
All fighters should get a real test in this exciting division.
The format would be sixteen fighters only. Ist round 6 rounds,Quarters 6 Rounds, Semi's 8 round, Final 10 rounds.
My picks would be;
1,Shane cameron 28-2-0
2,Brad Pitt 12-0-0
3,Vatali Soi 19-0-0
4,Adam Forsyth 10-0-0
5,Victor Oganov 31-5-0
6,Dominic Vea 13-3-0
7,Danial Ammann 23-5-1
8,Pieter Cronje 13-4-1
9,Anthony McCracken 14-5-1
10,Daniel Bruwer 21-3-1
11,Flo Simba 11-2-0
12,Soul Powencby 19-0-0
13,Mahamod azzouri 26-6-3
14, David Aloua 6-0-0 ( alla woods & McColluch)
15,Hunter Sam 4-1-1 ( alla woods & McColluch)
16, Robert Berridge 13-0-0 or Faiva 15-0-0
There would be some unbeilabe fights amongst these men, and majority will lift there profile, Like Woods,Kariuki and Jnr.
Would love to see who would win.

Soi's fighting again in N.Z next month but unfotunatly it sounds like it's against a heavyweight, hopefully it's just to stay busy.

Is that his second heavyweight opponent in a row now?
Damn, Betham wasnt really much of a fight you would call to stay busy. I hope he gets a decent opponent soon.
They should send him over to fight blown up supermiddle weight, Victor Oganov. That should test Soi for sure.

Does Danny Green intend to keep fighting? I was under the impression he does not intend to.

In re: adding South Africans, Rodney Berman is running an 8-fighter, 3-show Cruiserweight tournament in Joburg. The Simba-Bruwer fight this weekend is a preliminary fight which will determine those two fighters' seeds. Maybe something similar could be done in Australia. The tournament has a few fighters from other countries in Africa and supposedly has Israeli Ran Nakash as a standby.

Take out Simba and Bruwer and there is not much left in the 200 pound class in South Africa.

No joy for Willsy. Another unbeaten record gone.

Talking of stepping up, a big fight in NZ between two young active kiwi boys Berridge/Jackson is being discussed for middle/end of the year! Will be over 10/12 rounds for a national or regional or both title.
Berridge on paper is the stronger puncher of the 2 and throws from awkward angles as a southpaw, Jackson probably the tidier boxer without the sasme sort of pop however. Could shape up as a real cracker of a fight!

Berridge by KO in the second.
Jackson hasn't had a win over a winning record yet, Berridge has proven himself in OZ and would love to see him here again.
