It wouldn't surprise me. If they can talk about Kevin McBride as an opponent for Tyson, then why not Foreman?

It would be the biggest event in boxing history. A poll conducted a few years ago (when Foreman was champ) showed that in America, Tyson was the #1 most recongisable athlete, with Foreman at #3. Only Michael Jordan sandwiched them at the time.

Its Good guy vs Bad guy of the highest order. Its the biggest fight out there, even bigger than anything involving Roy Jones. The purists might not like it, but it should have been made years ago, what $$$ that would have made.

assuming you don't mean if they fought tomorrow, Foreman would've battered him. Tyson is a come forward fighter and Foreman would have pushed him back (literally) and tee'd off. It'd be very much like Foreman v Frazier 1.

Tyson was a faster starter, had a better defence, a better right hand , and dare I say it?, a better chin than Frazier.

I dont know who would have won in their primes, but I think Tyson beats George comfortably now. The fight should not be allowed.

This is the type of rumour where you think 'never!' and then it slowly dawns on you that it could very well happen.

Yet if it does, how damaging will it be for the image of boxing? We all know there are worse and more shop-worn fighters than these still boxing on a weekly basis but I'm not sure the general public do.

I remember when George flattened Gentleman Gerry Cooney it was being talked about - Colin Hart reckoned George was the only guy around who could melt Iron Mike ( I think he had visions of Frazier in Jamaica )

George will get beaten easily in a distance fight, I don't think Tyson throws enough leather any more to hammer an anvil like Foreman into the ground.

I have it on fairly good authority that Tyson backed out of fighting Foreman years ago, when foreman was on the comeback trail before beating Moorer. He was apparently shit scared of him.

American news is reporting Don King has announced a $20 mil deal to allow George Foreman to fight again.

George has got more chance of treading in rocking horse shit than of weighing 225lbs.

That's what I thought, however, I did notice that he weighed 235 for his fight for Dwight Qawi.

I wonder whether the 225 lbs thing is a way out for George.
