Billy Dib

Have we give Billy due respect after last night. After all that was a pretty good performance.
I hope he doesn't go the way of Jeff Fenech and try to go up in weight searching for titles.
One unified title is worth 5 or 6 pieces of other titles IMO

Great performance, i honestly think he's stepped over that mark that makes boxers world class.
I disagree, i think unifying titles and moving up in weight makes the difference between a good fighter and a great fighter.
I have Billy giving Chris John trouble after that performance, just needs to controll himself, however that was the reason for being so dominant.

Just watched the first 3 rounds of last night's fights. Nice low blows, holding and hitting etc etc by Dib. The ref warned him about a dozen times

I thought it was a good win, Escebedo ducked a lot which caused a lot of the pushing down and hitting back of head etc.

dib had a choice of where to hit, he had no problem with many shots to the back of the head, or holding and hitting etc.

Fenech was 21 years old and still developing when he won his bantamweight title, he was always going to be a featherweight.
Dib, who is the same height as Fenech, is 26 years old, already a featherweight and has reached the peak of his development. He should have no trouble making nine stone for some years.

Great fight great performance by billy broke down the Mexican and made him quite.. Something u don't usually see from them they have the margarito attitude were they would rather die in the ring. Bigg paydays ahead for the Dibster great for aus boxing hopefully he can avenge his critics I'm the states and have a big title defence on a golden boy undercard..

If he doesn't sort out the illegal stuff he'll go nowhere, especially if he fights overseas

Dib is the champ. He can tell them there is no problem broadcasting from Sydney and he will take on all comers on his home patch.

That's right, he is a titleholder. And as such I expect him to show his opponent and the sport a lot more respect than that

When you fight a Mexican it is a matter of do it to him before he does it to you.
No room for sissies against those bastards.

if and it's a big if, they do actually get in the ring together I will bet you as much as money as you want. He wouldn't even start favourite against Lee Selby.

Yid, i'm glad you agree with me that we've owned your country in sport for over a century....win an ash's or 2 finally, and all of a sudden it's "you Aussies".

Daniel Geale I get. Not the most exciting fighter to watch but effective, Billy Dib would struggle to win a commonwealth title if he had to leave his well matched little paradise.

This from some wandering crybaby who thinks a Welsh turd with a handful of fights could beat a World champion.
Lee Selby? Jesus!

Are you and Hounddawg the same person? Or just both one eyed aussie's who can't see past the boxing mecca that is OZZSTRALIA. Selby may have had only a handful of fights but he's more talented than Dib - maybe Selby should be fighting against hand picked below par asians every other month.

That's odd, I saw one fighter delivering a multitude of illegal blows yet his didn't see his opponent deliver a single one in return so there goes your statement sraight out the window
We think we're somehow special down here yet we're not. The sooner we start being realistic about our fighters, their achievements, their limitations and their standing on the world scene the better off we'll be. Just the other day I was reading a thread in an oz forum where a large % of the posters were claiming Kali Meehan deserved a title shot at Klitschko despite the fact that he hadn't come even remotely close to earning the fight. Then Kali goes and gets stopped in 6 rounds by a so-so fighter. Can you see what I'm saying?
