Brian is a totally different fighter from 2 years ago, I can see a wide points win for the lion

Rose should win it, but sometimes a boxer just has the others number

Rose. Completely forgot this was happening. The lack of interest on the forum plus no advertising on sky again.

Rose by UD i'd imagine but this is like Maxwells world title fight he's had a full training camp he's already ko'd Rose so he should be going in with confidence. Ultimately though i think Rose will outbox him.

Hard to believe their first fight was almost 2 years ago, feels like only a few months.

Few bookies starting to offer odds:

Rose outright - 2/9
Rose stoppage - 6/4
Rose decision - 7/5

Maxwell outright - 4/1
Maxwell stoppage - 11/2
Maxwell decision - 12/1

Caught between a Rose stoppage and decision win myself. Maxwell can be caught cold early on but once he gets settled he is hard to stop. I'm thinking if Rose can dominate him for the first 8/9 rounds, Maxwell may start to get wild, making his defense open up and if Rose can land freely on him there may be a stoppage of some sorts. In saying that, Max is proud and stubborn so will want to be fighting to the final bell no matter what. It's a tough one to call so think I'll be staying away from the betting.

I can't see a repeat of their first fight, Rose has come on leaps and bounds in the last 18 months or so and Maxwell isn't up to his level.

I would like to see Ochieng fight the winner as he was meant to fight Rose for the English and Rose pull out to get a crack at the British which most boxers would do.
Rose is a boxer who needs to be fully focused in the ring all the time. He didnt get out of 1st gear against Aaron and it was a simple game plan of Jab Jab then one two over the top. If Maxwell can break his concentration it could be very interesting

Will be definitely putting a small wager on Maxwell KO - too big a price IMO although Rose should box to a clear UD

Pretty much how I see it. There's definitely some value in the Maxwell K.O but I can see Rose winning on points by around 5 points.

Maxwell has the bingo punch, but I think the circumstances surrounding their first fight had a lot to do with it, Rose was not in a good place, hopefully he is fully recovered now and if he is right on the night I think he can outbox Maxwell to a fairly easy points win, he is much the better boxer of the two, but Maxwell will always be in the fight.

I would like Rose to fight Ochieng next. That will be interesting

This one completely slipped under the radar for me, only noticed it was on tonight. How on earth has Maxwell managed to get a British title shot? Fair enough, he beat Rose 2 years ago, but since that fight he's had 3 wins over opponents with a combined record of 7-58-1, drawn with a 7 fight novice, and been stopped in one round. Disgraceful from the BBBoC.

The first round stoppage was a joke, Max should not have been stopped and I think everyone knows that.

I'll take your word for that, i didn't see it, but it's still an abysmal record and certainly doesn't warrant a British title shot.

Although hes getting beat, im much more impressed with Maxwell than i thought i would be.

Not a bad effort from someone who really shouldnt be in a title fight.

Still gonna go with maxwell for the ko

Haha just as i read that the sky commentators tried their hardest to give all the reasons why he deserves this shot :)

Max is a prime example of why a fighter should not be judged purely by his record. He has been at the receiving end of some controversial decisions and a couple of poor stoppages. However, whether he deserved a British title shot is up for debate.

One of the worst stoppages I've ever seen to be honest. Max had the other lad out on his feet moments earlier then gets stopped himself. I think Maxwell totally deserved the title shot, he's had to come up the hard way and got no favours off anyone.
