Does anyone know when the Froch vs Bute tickets are going on sale, don't want to miss out.

As far as im aware it will be nottingham arena , i know eddie hearn was saying on twitter a couple of days ago about checking out venues but thats surely a formality , Carl said a long while ago that they had already booked the arena in the hope of luring Bute over , so id be very surprised to hear it was being held anywhere else , i think they are maybe thinking the arena isnt big enough but City Ground has already been ruled out as they are relaying the pitch the week before , so unless they use meadow lane theres nowhere else bigger than nottingham arena that i can think of .

From the way Hearn was speaking post the 5live debate the other week.They were having a look at Meadow Lane but it was a bit of a dilema as to whether they went for the Arena and easily sold out or potentially struggled with around 20k tickets. I got the impression it would be the Arena.

Aren't The O2 in London after this fight too?

it seems there is bound to be complications with this fight going ahead, I don't know it just doesn't seem right that Bute should just suddenly agree to fight outside his beloved back yard and since it doesn't have US TV backing etc...

No chance that its at o2 , froch has said for a long time he wants to come home to nottingham , and to be honest a lot of people would be pretty pissed if he did at o2 instead

Latest from Hearn in that link. Does say they are looking at venues in London and Manchester, Much as it would obviously be more convenient for me personally if it was London would be a real shame if Froch didn't fight in Notthingham after all this time.

For the record I think it will be Nottingham. But possibly at Notts County if Hearn thinks the demands there.

Trent Bridge maybe Nottingham are away. It would get 15000 at County ground imo. If Brook doing 10000 with right prices and advertising this will do that.

Just seen on twitter that they are looking at London and Manchester , Will be proper pissed off if they do put it out of Nottingham , as will a lot of others , Would have to be a pretty stacked undercard for me to go London for it , Manchesters not too far but still would need good supporting bouts .

Meadow lane makes most sense. I sure Matchroom will see sense and have it in Nottingham.

I think pitch being re-laid at City Ground.

That leaves Notts County, The 02 or MEN.

Personally i hate football ground fights, always lose the atmosphere and the views are obscured.

It wont sell as well at O2 or Men. Has to be in Nottingham to get best audience. I reckon it would not do more than 8000 in London.

From a selfish view point Manchester would be the best option for me but it surley should be Nottingham

Notts county ground would probably be the best bet numbers wise if the city ground isn't available. How about the biggest arena in Birmingham or Sheffield?

As long as it's in England should suit Froch,Bute coming in his prime is a big deal.

Sky are saying tickets on sale Monday 19 March at 2pm with fighters meeting at the venue beforehand.

Could still be at City ground; they could postpone laying the pitch for 10 days if it is getting paid for them for renting the stadium for a night!!!

People are underestimating how many tickets this fight is capable of.

I think easily 20,000.

A sunny weekend in Nottingham, which is only 1.5 hours away from pretty much everywhere in the country will attract a lot of lads wanting to see a big fight and drink some beers.

Nearly all hotels are booked up throughout the city now.

The above don't factor the actual people from Nottingham into that number either.

It has to stay in Nottingham. To sell out elsewhere would need the backing of casuals who he haa never really appealed to and will remember him getting beaten by ward.
