no, phillips seems to be a common welsh surname.
Whe I fought last, there were 3 Phillips on the show.....many thought we were all brothers!

Do you know who won between Jason Cook and Kevin Bennett as amateurs, Dean? They fought as schoolboys I believe.

Do you remember when Cook was a heavy underdog in the ABA finals and ended up chinning that guy and stopping him. What was his name?

Sorry, I do not know. I turned pro round and lost track of the amateurs.

i must admit, I have not seen him fight. He was on the undercard of my last fight; he was on right before me so did not have a chance to see him. He is campaigning as a light welter though, albeit a very big light welter, which is interesting as the guy he is supposedly matched against on the 28th is a lightweight.

i have to add that the guy he is fighting is pretty capable too if somewhat inexperienced (i think its his debut)...i have sparred him; the guy cant punch but has a good workrate.....I still think Phillips will be too big and strong for him though, and will run out a points winner. Cant think of the opponents name.
