I remember that day like it was yesterday, 16 years ago this month, times flys.
I was suppose to fight Tasawar Khan but he didn't make the weigh in, which meant i got a walk over in the final Αиϑ that wasn't a great feeling. I Really felt for Khan.

How many times u fight John Convey Martin? I see you fight him once, ( pretty sure he gave u a standing count before you came back and stopped him, Liverpool maybe? ) and back then all he talked about was you and Foster!

What ever happened to Mulholland.
He won the ABA title 2 times and then turned pro
Had 2 fights and retired.

Maybe Another case of a very good amerture, not tough enought for the pros.

There are loads of good amerture boxers that could have gone on and done great as a pro,
If they had turned pro, :bag: :bag:

Fought him 3 times and stopped 3 times, in that fight it was in Aldershot NABC's Semi Finals. A friend from My Gym St Pancreas Ian Wilson fought Darren Cook (Nicky's Brother) the same day, what a Fight Ian had 8 won 8 but NO one thought that Ian had a chance. Ian Beat him up :box:

Me and Foster a couple of good fights, twice I thought I had done enough but didn't get it :witzend:

Ah ok, I see a fair few of Johns fights back in the day so they seem a bit hazy these days!

He was toying with going pro at one point with Maloney.

Did anyone know a lad boxing in the school boys at that sort of time called Tony Henson , From Nottingham and at the time was with Radford Boys Boxing Club , id guess was about 71kg ish then , same age as me so would have been 16 in 96 , He was a real talent , huge puncher and had been training with the Ingles after leaving school in preperation for turning pro but then just fell off the radar , ive spoken to him a couple of time about having a crack on the unlicensed as hes been out of the ring so long , says ok then never bothers coming to the gym , some people just havent got the hunger , which is a shame as he really was good .

has anyone on here seen him fight , or maybe even boxed him themselves ???
