And so after five weeks of the highest standard of gruelling combat we have our victor:

League Table: (if tied it goes to the head-to-head record)

.......................F...W...D...L..
Jack Dempsey...5....3...2....0.
Muhammad Ali ...5....3...0....2.
Joe Louis...........5....2...1....2
Rocky Marciano..5....2...0....3
Larry Holmes......5....1...2....2.
Peter Jackson....5....1...1....3

Joe Louis is awarded the Bronze Medal for having a neutral record against the best out there.

Muhammad Ali is awarded the Silver Medal for having a 60% win percentage against the best (and having the joint highest victories in the tournament)

But this season's worthy winner, unbeaten in the tournament... Mr Jack Dempsey

I'd like to say thank you to my fighter, Mr Dempsey, with whom made this possible.

Honourable mentions go to Kevo, friend and leading-stable acquaintance. This win honours SSM, not just me.

Also, Detroit's mam. She had the secret medicine that turned a great camp into a winning camp. That woman can open a beer bottle with her arsecheeks.

THE ROCK deserves better.....too much attention to last half vs first half, an age old bias.

It's a "what have you done for me lately?" mentality.

THE ROCK deserves the highest of honors having KO'd dempsey and never having a trilogy.

THE ROCK would be willing to even the score with Ali or Holmes this week if possible

OR as has always been the case he will fight any man in the house..and bludgeon them thusly.

Congratulations to my fellow SSM Manager. This final victory has surely secured your spot in the HoF

Just as a point of interest, here are the odds and the outcome of The Super Six:

Muhammad Ali
Odds: 3/1 - He must be a favourite, mustn't he?
Predicted Finish: Second
Actual Finish: Second
Ali didn't disappoint in the tournament and was in the running until his superbout with Dempsey.

Jack Dempsey
Odds: 5/1 - Dempsey's definitely up there amongst the best.
Predicted Finish: Third
Actual Finish: First
The Super Six will be remembered as Dempsey's breakthrough.

Larry Holmes
Odds: 15/1 - Holmes might struggle.
Predicted Finish: Sixth
Actual Finish: Fifth
Holmes fared better than expected in The Super Six.

Peter Jackson
Odds 12/1 - he's beat good opposition before, but can he do it again?
Predicted Finish: Fifth
Actual Finish: Sixth
Jackson struggled against the best available opposition.

Joe Louis
Odds: 10-1 - He has the potential and the ability but can he step up at this critical hour?
Predicted Finish: Fourth
Actual Finish: Third
Louis surpassed expectations and proved his worth by finishing with a neutral tournament record.

Rocky Marciano:
Odds 2-1 - who would bet against him?
Predicted Finish: First
Actual Finish: Fourth
Rocky was unable to capture the form from earlier weeks and he struggled because of that.

Wonder if a full inventory of super six fights could be published within this thread.

As for the Rock, he beat Louis one additional time right? outside of this series
No other fights with Holmes or Ali
One other with Dempsey where he KO'd Jack
and a trilogy with PJ who defeated him first time out, and the Rock followed up with two KO's right?
