Nottingham nightlife for Froch fight

Have been to Nottingham a few times and will be paying a visit to the following:

1. Hooters, good food for reasonable prices
2. Ye Olde Jerusalem (very old pub built into the castle walls)

But other than these 2 I'm a bit lost!

Anyone able to recommend some good boozers / nightclubs / gentlemen's venues?

I've not been out in Nottingham for a while but used to go up there a fair bit as a few of my mates were at uni up there. We always used to go to the Lace Market area. Is a decent Pitcher and Piano there from memory in a converted church but don't know whether it's still open. There are a few clubs: Ocean/Oceana being one I've been to.

Yeah, Pitcher and Piano is still in the church.

Ocean is great if you enjoy carpeted nightclubs and the inescapable stench of vomit

Oceania is ok if your bag is getting lost in a labyrinth, losing your mates and leaving in frustration

Tantra - great for people who like drinking in an unusual posture on beds with footprints all over them

Vodka Rev - As with any Vodka Rev, awesome for astronaut/robot impressions while stuck to the dancefloor

Something for everyone in Nottingham!

Nah I love it really. Rock City!

There's actually 2 Vodka Revs there. My cousin runs them both. The big one is good. The small one is sheet

Plenty of watering holes in Nottingham , something for everyone really , Only times ive been out lately though is after one of my shows , all the fighters have their regular places so i just followed the crowd but when i did used to go out bar vida was my own favourite , although dont know if its still there to be honest .

Walkabout , Yates and Weatherspoons are always pretty full , as is Tantra .

Walkabout I think is on three floors in Nottingham if my memory serves me correctly. As for the Trip to Jersulsem it is a lovely little pub and they do Hardy and Hansons which is a terrific drop.

I'd suggest getting drunk, finding a fat girl, and punching her in the face.

Hooters is shocking. Last time I was in there, there was a whole Indian family in there tucking into fried chicken. 3 generations of them, grandma and a bunch of children. I think they either got lost or the dad REALLY likes hooters.

Waterfront etc ain't bad in summer.

We normally go Living Room, Brass Monkey etc for a couple, maybe Bunkers Hill next to the arena on fight night.

Afterwards Flares or any of those dumps as they let let a mixed rabble of lads in. Or your trendy bars in Lace Market. But they are snooty.

Only been to Nottingham once. I got in at about 5pm and went into a pub to kill time until my mate finshed work. Ordered a pint, sparked up a fag (back in the days when you could) and relaxed...
5 minutes later two women started having a fist fight next to the pool tables! Nothing like a first impression.
Looking forward to going back.

If you fancy a few pints of traditionally brewed ales to start off get the tram to Basford and check out the Fox & Hounds (est in 1700s I think and has it's own brewery attached), then back on the tram and hit the lace market. Stay away from the shit holes near Rock City and Oceana, unless your planning on going bang at it in every whatway possible ;;-)
