David Tua

I think David is retired or someone you know about something else, sorry for my bad english greetings.
Does he not live near Koru(Mangere) anymore?Heavyweight David Tua has announced his retirement. The 39-year-old Samoan lost only four times in 58 fights. The nearest he got to a world title was when he lost on points to Lennox Lewis for the WBC and IBF titles in 2000. Mafaufau Sita - his real name - won 43 of his fights by KO/TKO, and was never beaten inside the distance. After being inactive for two years Tua launched a comeback in 2009. Wins over Shane Cameron and Friday Ahunanya built his hopes, but only managing to draw with Monte Barrett was a set back. Tua tried to put that right a year later, but lost a close unanimous verdict. Tua felt he was unable to prepare himself physically or mentally for another comeback, so decided to retire. Unfortunately all the money he earned, including a reputed $12 million for the Lewis fight, has gone. He no longer has a home and has to sleep in his gym and is up at 4.00am each day for his work as a cleaner.
this is absolutely devastating news...i really hope it isnt true'Frilla wrote:Just read this in Snips and snipes.

Can any of you blokes from NZ confirm this? This sounds horrible, and if thats the case, he should be back in the ring one last time for one last pay out!
