What do you think ppl about this talented middleweight prospect? Can he became a real solid contender in 1-2 years and represent the new wave of british middleweights?

Watched Ryder a few times now, he looks a real talent, could be a very interesting division in the next few years, would like to see him in with either Adam Etches, Billy Joe Saunders or Chris Eubank Jr in the next 12 months.

Theres enough middlewieght fighters in the UK for some decent match ups now. I hope some of these guys will fight each other. You have Liam Cameron in the mix with Prince Aaron who is struggling to stay a light mid. I dont understand with so many UK mid fighters why some promoters still matching them with Latvians

Anybody saw Ryder's last fight vs Alastair Warren?

He has a good style and seems strong. He really reminds me; facially and hair, of Colin Dunne. I had to look twice last time he was on the telly.

Style-wise he is a carbon copy of Colin Dunne and looks like him too.

It was no surprise when I noticed Colin Lake in his corner who, of course, trained Dunne.

Great to watch and some great fights out there for him, Hope they can be made, The sooner the better!

It looks like he took one around the 3.32 mark but he finished the other guy off so fair enough really D

I'm not an expert and I think I read that he'd not had a lot of bouts as an amateur. I think I remember that he won the Novice Title.

You may concede that sometimes the very best amateurs don't do the best as pros.

(Colin Dunne didn't set the world on fire unpaid but no one can dispute he was a very, very good, entertaining and dedicated professional boxer).

I know Dunne didnt do much in the amateurs&ive been following the game long enough to know the best ams dont always make the grade in the pros&vice versa,if thats what your getting at??
I dont believe he will win a British title,saying that tho after the top 3 there isnt much depth at middleweight...

Not getting at anything Tommy, seen lots of your posts before.

It depends on how he goes about the job and who's Champ when he gets to that stage. Saunders, by rights, ought to be there or past it by now. Boxing is so unpredicatable and Ryder may befresh enough to learn new tricks at the right age to do well.

We shall see in the next 12-18months,i might well be coming on here&admit i was wrong about Ryder

Looked decent from that fight against Brown. Enjoy his style ALTHOUGH he looks easy to hit.

Definitely a division that is gonna throw some quality, domestic fights at us.

Because Latvians have false records, that look better then they are, but I agree, you already know the result before they step in the ring, stoppage body shot.

John Ryder is a great fighter ! Southpaw who is big and strong, would like to see him fight another fellow talented southpaw Billy joe Saunders. John Ryder will also come on leaps and bounds with Matchroom !
