Has he attempted to make the weight or just done an Alvarez/Rios and came in at a weight he feels strong at? Could make the 5/2 on him look good

i think this is planned by morales not as though he couldnt make 140,his legacy is secure with becoming the first mexican to become 4 weight world champion. against a young hungry garcia this is all about the win sweating down to 140 garcia has his number at 142 might be different.

Morales looks terrible, but he hasn't looked in great shape for any of his fights since his comeback. He is a shade of his former self, but is still capable of pulling off an upset or two. Don't think he will do it tonight, mind.

Sad really, Morales does look terrible, he actually looks pale and his body looks very soft. You do worry about him carrying on fighting when hes in this condition, this is the point where fighters pick up the damage which can lead to all sorts of health problems in later life. He needs to look at whats happened to Riddick Bowe and either get in proper shape or call it quits while he can still think straight.

Morales has never been a body beautiful. Wouldn't surprise me if he takes a dec. against Garcia despite looking awful at the weigh in. Mad how he used to make 122lbs...even if he was only 21 years old. Here he is at 126lbs:

Morales is pure ectomorph!! I cant see him using a scientific approach to gaining weight(ala Holyfield). Morales fought better than expected and I thought the fight was possibly still up for grabs until he was dropped in the 11th.
I'd give Ajose a very solid shot of beating Garcia.

If anyone looked like they were going down at that point it was Garcia. Garcia landed a somewhat desperate knock-down and then picked up the last round. That's 5 points different, possibly more if Morales had got his own knock-down. Anyone see the Kirkland fight?
Odd DQ by the ref, Molina had been knocked down, and the bell rang to end the round mid way through the count , the cornerman stepped into the ring on the bell, he immedietly stepped back out, didn't interfere with Molina in any way. the ref finished the count, then DQ'd Molina.

I thought it was a very close fight, though the rounds I gave to Morales were close but Garcia's rounds were more clear cut. I thought early Morales dictated te PAC and picked his punches better but Garcia started getting into it, very good fight IMO. The Kirkland fight was shocking I thought as negative as Molina was he was boxing a very effective fight landing pot shots and getting inside holding frustrating and not giving Kirkland a chance to get going, I had Molina 3 up and thought the decision was very strange and dissapointing by a ref in over his head IMO.

I agree the ref was awfully weak all the fight and the DQ was complete bullshit. Every cornerman/woman knows that you can't enter the ring until the round is over.
This includes contests whereby boxers are not saved by the bell, the count, in these cases, becomes an extension of the round.
why not wave it off the second the cornerman entered the ring?
ref's discretion it was his choice.
