Thought I'd touch on the fights from last night in Auckland, NZ. not often is there a 7 fight pro card in NZ.

1. Taito Raturere VS Sonny Toleafoa = Raturere WTKO3

Personallly and I like Raurere I hope he was only cruising during this fight ticking up a few rounds after comming back from a hard fought 12th round stoppage loss in a PABA title fight in Perth. Because really he should of put Toleafoa away in a round 2 at most! Raturere has never been a big puncher, he can box well and is better than avergae in this part of the world but Toleafoa is VERY basic and raw on paper a mismatch, Taito landed plenty of flush shots and some body work looked to hurt Toleafoa a few times but nothing really shook him up to much and he was stopped on his feet without being really hurt at all.

2. Rohit Singh VS Maruf Ali = (and im cringing wiritng this) Singh WKO1

ABSOLUTE JOKE of a fight! Maruf walks out hold his right hand out and lets Singh nail him with a punch and goes down like a ton of bricks. Completely rigged once again thats 5-0 now for the disgrace that is Rohit Singh! Yid will comment also he was as disgusted as I was! Singh is making a mockery out of the sport and should not be allowed to box ever unless its against a legit ooppont. This is not a racist comment but one doesnt have to be a genious to work out why this guy only fights indian opponets............or should i mean paid off family members!!

3. Roger Adlam VS Jake Paul = Adlam WUD4

Not a great quality fight be any means but for two guys who really are at corporate level to be fair, good on them for fighting hard and stepping up to the pro ranks, in the end was a well matched fight in terms of both of there ability levels. Can't knock the boys for giving it a crack, Singh could take a note out of there book good honest fight!! Adlam's Southpaw awkward style gave Paul enough trouble to get the points win neither ever hurt or in trouble.

4. Elisara Sii Uta VS Bob Gasio = Sii Uta WSD4

The return to the ring for Sii Uta after at least 6 years out of the sport, not in his best physical condition either up against old war horse Bob Gasio. Gasio at 47 showed plenty of experience and even tripled up his left like he was 27! Both fought in close quaters for majority of the but trading shots on the inside in a very close bout. Decent scrap between two veterans of the NZ fight game! good to see Sii Uta back, he had some talent if he lost 10-15kgs he'd give most heavys around this region a real rund for there $$

5. Issac Peach Vs Peter Tovi'o = Peach WUD4

I've never been hot on Peach, hes now 8-1-0 with 0KO's very defensive minded fighter, and just not one id choose or pay to watch to be honest. However he outworked and outboxed Tovi'o to a comfortable decision, although Tovi'o had his moments landing some heavy shots but just not consistantly enough. Only have to scout Tovi'os record to see most guys work him out quick and put him away, which leads me to believe whilst not a bad tactical fighter Peach will never have the firepower to get the next level of fighters respect or hold them off.

6. Vaitele Soi Vs Junior Iakopo = Soi WMD6

Disappointing performance by Soi, thats not taking anything away for Iakopo who has really showed up in his last 4 fights now taking Tillman and Mataele to Draws and going toe to toe with heavy handed Tatupu over 4 and now holding his own with Soi. Iakopo is as tough as they come, very unrefined no jab at all but hes just tough as teak and once wonders if he got fit and even some basic training how many upsets he coudl cause. Soi looked like his timing was way off, no energy, his jab almost non exisitant and I seriously question the ability of the training his getting right now. He should be much more advanced after 20 bouts. He had his chances top put Iakopo away but couldnt find 2nd gear last 2 rounds Iakopo was backing him up and hurt him ot the body a couple of times. Soi has the ability to seriously match it with the top in the divison in these parts but at the moment something is missing.

7. Lee Oti VS Brad Milner = Oti WUD10 WBF International Title

Milner is your true working mans fighter tough always had a go but just lacked the sharpness to match it with the slick Oti. Oti could have been much better than his record suggests maybe he;s finally got serious and if he has he'll be in some very good fights down the line. I think the fight was closer than the scores indicated but he did earn the points win. Milner is a top bloke and a good honest hard working fighter, decent main event scrap!

Nice wrap-up Craig. Maybe you should go into journalism once your promoting days are over ;;-)
Like you I was a bit disappointed with Soi last night, but you can't help but be impressed with Junior Iakopo. How has this lad not got a win on his record? Not sure about the scoring though. MD? I think Soi won the first 4, Iakopo the 5th and probably an even 6th. I told myself that I wouldn't comment on Rohit Singh onhere but I'm so angry. This one really was the the biggest fiasco so far, his opponent went down spat out his gum shield looked at his corner and then played dead, the ref actually looked concerned and turned him on his side! He should of dragged him to his feet and said act like a man.
There was a cracking atmosphere there last night aswell. Take a bow Mr Glozier. It was good to meet cjscott there aswell :TU:

How about throwing Singh in with Tillman to see if he can beat someone with at least a pulse?

Sounds like he could not fight his way out of a light mist and you would be a mug to watch him. :TU:

He's been on the last 3 shows in Auckland I've been to, He's worth watching just for pantomime effects. You can see some of his 'fights' on youtube - if it wasn't so pathetic they would be funny.

A latter day Sammy "The Clown" Rush?

Sammy was a bantamweight in the 60s. Used to combine some ability with a comedy routine. A very bitter little man though.
