Poll question #1 The Fate of a few good women.

Should a few good women such as Rijker, Laila, Martin, Wolfe etc be allowed to participate within their best weight class?

I will include them if the majority wishes it to be.

They are likely to take terrible beatings, which is why I will begin this with my somewhat disapproving vote.

I wouldn't mind them being managers, but I'm not changing one bit. None of this female friendly stuff. As for them being fighters, that's just sick :KO:

I'm very happy to see how this is going, The beatdowns would have been difficult to read.

By the way, a vote for beer responsibility, is a No vote.

And whoever votes for "asking my wife or girlfriend" option really needs to step up BIG TIME or get the fuck out!

And as a point of interest, here is a quote from our fellow Sim Brother (the same one who started this poll)

Seriously the feminization of society has had it's good points and it's bad points.

For me this is not one of the good points. The ability to enjoy a good scuffle, with beer being served should be a protected right.
:OhYes: :TU:

BoxBuzz wrote:I have to say with feminization of our society.....and I don't mean that to sound to awful...but yet I believe it is a fact, Boxing seems to be losing it's popularity. We NEED healthy competition, we need spartan sports such as this that ask us to ask the best of ourselves and we NEED to represent battle in our sports. IMHO.

Human nature will not change, we will have enemies both within our own hearts and minds and outwardly in the world. There is no greater sport that represents and inspires, motivates and shows us more clearly the simple virtues of endurance, overcoming adversity, rising to the occasion, patience, and forging undeterred will than the sport of boxing.

If we really shift to the belief that all such expression is somehow suspect we will, as a society, give in to ruthless dictators and despots rather than "fighting the good fight". There are people who are happy to see respect for such staged competition dwindle because it leads the way to the diminishing of the human spirit to do exactly what Kennedy gave reference to encouraged us all to consider in his inaugural speech.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

And these words

In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility—I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it—and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.

and finally this.

Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.

We have to nurture symbols, and light small fires and give signs within our culture that allow us to understand that to "fight the good fight" is an important aspect of both humanity and citizenry.

Otherwise we are to easily turned into lemmings.

I understand and appreciate the fact that we must also accurately recognize just who and what an enemy is. But once recognized you need a set of parameters and uncompromisable set of values and some sort of road map to get you from where you are to where you want to be. I call this the "fighting spirit".

I think the sport is important in and of itself. It's not men and boys behaving badly under a set of rules. Which many would have us believe these days.

But sadly I'm not sure that this appreciation is understood as well as perhaps it once was.
:OhYes: :OhYes: :OhYes: :OhYes: :OhYes:

So do I.
He definitely is a man of intelligence, there's no question about that. Sadly though he uses his impressive brain-power to get up to all sorts of mischief and for wicked purposes (breaking the rules and such).

Still whether you love him or hate him, there's no denying he's a character.
