I was just making the point It was a Swindon Ref swindon boxer and a swindon promoter Martin isnt my fighter I dont know him that well Just watched the fight and heard the reporter from the Swindon paper telling Martin he thought he won As well as a few board offical Boxing is subjective I was just pointing out to realistic That there was more than few people thought Martin won Including the local paper

The trouble with a new gripe every week is that the impact of future (and perhaps more important) gripes may be diminished somewhat. Refs make mistakes, sure, but sometimes they get it right too. I think the criticism IJL has had lately has been largely warranted, but lets not get into slating every referee who gives a decision we don't agree with. Who knows? You might be wrong and he right. Besides, scoring in boxing is so subjective that a close fight in fair circumstances can go either way.

Hit the nail on the head, the truth is Martin started well and won some early rounds, kelvin then took some close rounds and finished the fight a lot stronger, Jane Couch was her usual self calling everyone corrupt and as usual it was only her making a scene, Martin took the loss like a gentleman and his corner made NO objections, again Jane went to the corner spouting off. It was embarrassing to watch but like all wrecks compelling viewing

But you wasnt just making the point about it being a swindon ref, boxer and promoter was you. The title of the thread is calling Grant Wallis the worst ref in the world. close fights can go either way as JamesH says

Too late James, the problem with spouting so much crap at every given opportunity is that people tend to ignore it all FACT

I was at these fights and as a neutral observer, I thought Young did enough to win by 2-3 rounds. Seems like sour grapes to me.
How is the ref the worst ref in the world exactly? Because his score doesnt tally with how you saw the fight? What was wrong with the scoring exactly?
What was wrong with the nesbitt score and any of the others? You'll lose credibility posting stuff like this.
