After much malignment, never winning a SIM HW title, Sonny Liston accomplished that feat with an emphatic win over 'Ageless' Archie Moore. Indeed Moore was on the vergo of KO on numerous occasions, with only his heart and Liston's over anxious attempts allowing him to hear the final bell.

If this was the real season, Corbett and Marciano would have trained for their fights.
