Yes, would be a decent little scrap that, though I'd fancy Murray to win.

Are you saying it could be on or is this hypothetical?

Murray to big and strong i think he would stop McEwan late, McEwan should be looking to drop to light middle he's to small to compete at the highest level at middleweight, how about him and Rhodes for the EBU if Rhodes beats Rabchenco

Rhodes vs McEwan would be good. Think Craig would need to fight in UK or europe 5 times before he is eligible for EBU is that right?

nah mate ,its just something i thoguth about it, im sure Craig would be intrested in the fight , obv he has to focus on Morby on the 14th but im sure it could be made for the undercard of Quigg/Munroe as i know murray is looking for an opponent ...

He doesn't bring anything to the table mate.
Murray looking for a World Title shot, which he would have got if not for the visa issue.
McEwan coming off two ko defeats and has a fight slated for next week, only eight weeks before Murray fights.
Murray looking forwards not backwards.

But a defence of the British title then onto a bigger fight after maybe.

Bah, Murray hasn't beaten anyone as good as McEwan yet.

I think he would, but I don't think he is in a different league that means you can scoff at the bout.
Are there many other opportunities for Murray at the minute?

Can't help but agree with TwentySix here, what does McEwan bring to the table? I just can't see the upside for Murray.

Not a massive amount but it would still be the best win on his record. It doesn't look like he'll get a Strum rematch and can't fight in the states so what are the big opportunities that Murray has on the horizon? Hope?

What is the visa issue? Is it going to be a permanent problem him getting to fight in the states? Murray has a style that I think the American's would like to see, and with Ricky Hatton in his team I think he could get some exposure.

Murray had a few trips to jail in his younger days. Unlikely he'll be aloud into the States

I don't think beating McEwan would mean a jot at the level Murray is currently pitching at. Chisora lost to Helenius, but the manner of the loss led to a world title fight - not a domestic level fight against an equally unproven fighter. Macklin lost to Sturm and then went straight into another title fight.

Murray might not have the great win, but he stepped up and put in the performance when it mattered - a draw as the away fighter in Germany isn't bad. McEwan didn't step up. They are at a different level at this time from a negotiation point of view, and probably from a pugilistic viewpoint too (in my opinion).

Murray will definately go on to be world champion IMO, I dont think the McEwan fight should happen there is better fights out there for him at the moment.

Done some lookin online and found a swiss article and one on wbn, linking a fighter called Yves Studer with murray, looks more realistic for June 16th

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer

http://www.swissboxing.ch/index.php?ID=1&Headlines=1055
(i used google translate to read it)

http://www.worldboxingnews.net/2012/04/ ... ad-to.html

heres the wbn article although it doesnt state it at first there is a quote from hatton saying if he beats studer he'll be inline for a wba shot
