what is your opinion of this?
hyder just seems full of panic and drama in the corner of fighters so it appears.

Is Danny going to keep boxing?
Two consecutive stoppages is hardly an encouragement to keep going.

there is no source, i'm just asking the question.
i wonder if lewis could provide something that would help green.
for example, any bad habits that may need addressing, or an area that he should be focusing on more.

I think there are two things Danny Green could have done to improve his legacy:
1. Not retired in 2008 and continued defending his WBA LHW belt, perhaps looking to unify with another belt holder.
2. Stayed at LHW for as long as he was physically able to, then retired.
Whatever Lewis could do for Green now, fact is, he's 39, a blown up light heavyweight and is coming off two stoppage defeats. I really don't think he has a future at the highest level at cruiserweight and I think he's too old to move back to light heavyweight. I can't really think of any good fights for him at this stage - he could drop back to being a local-level fighter, taking on up-an-comers like Brad Pitt, but considering where he's been I think he'd be better of retiring.

I agree Jezz. His best weight was Lt heavy and he couldve had some great match ups back in the day.
I doubt he could ever get down to Light Heavy, and with the two big losses at cruiser his ability to draw a big name fight is hampered.
That said he has great financial backing and the cruisers throughout the world arent the best paid. Im suprised a rematch with Wlod has not been made. The longer that takes, with Tarver fighting others, makes me think it could be the end of the road for Greeny. If it is, good luck to him.
I always liked Ismail Salas as a trainer with Greeny. Whilst it seemed to curve the "mongrel" in Danny I think that could have resurfaced if they stayed together. Giving Danny that great knowledge of how to box and brawl.
All hyperthetical, but interesting.

As a fan of the sport when i was young(fenech days) i dropped off folowing local boxing when the Waters brothers failed at the highest level, and my interest was ignighted when Green came on the scene to fly the Aussie flag, and i have followed Green with the same interest of my beloved Broncoe's ever since.
Green had the stuff to shock the world and did after 2 years as a pro, he in my opinion flatlined for years, fighting 3 times a year against local comp and wasting i think his best years in doing so, until the RJJ fight.
I think he's still got a lot to offer the sport, he got beaten soundly by Tarver, but you can't take away the fact that Green had him hurt(Tarvers own words), how often has anyone had Tarver hurt? He then took on the Youngest champ out there and dominated him for the first 8 rounds with boxing skills and i believe whole hearterly that Greens conditioning for 12 hard rounds was poor, and this is ultimately why he lost to Wlod, he made the count just to let Wlod know you didn't stop me.
But we forget that he beat Flores who is killing it atm, he beat a long list of good names before "That" operation, and if others are allowed excuses, this man is allowed.
I think he still fights on, Branco or Fragameni would be the right idea for me, they're as old as Danny and recently fought for the WBC eliminator then maybe Cameron before locking Down Wlod for the return early next year and retire no matter what the decision.

I agree "dawg. Will be interesting to see what Danny is thinking though. The mind plays funny tricks especially after being ko'd badly, twice (give him credit he was winning the Wlod fight)!!
There are definately fights out there for him to conitnue on, and as long as he is fighting in Oz there will be big pay days. But if he did continue, and he had a choice to change trainers, its probably too late. Whilst I think Lewis would bring so much more to the table, Danny and Hyder seem to have a a pretty good relationship.
You make a good point on BJ..undefeated at the time and still marching on. All the knockers seem to forget that victory.
