Who do people think has the best chin domestically ?

Carl Froch has always been considered to have a good chin , is there anyone under the rader or maybe a journeyman with a cat iron jaw that is better than that posessed by mr froch ?

Matthew Hatton, Rendall Munroe,

Sid Razak, Billy smith, Derek chisora.........

Kevin Mitchell, Kenny Anderson, Choi.

i wouldnt say mathew hatton had a good chin he has a good grab but not a good chin

Froch. Been tested at the highest level repeatedly and never found wanting.

I think your got to say Chisora. Don't think his ever been hurt in a fight.

I did indeed Mitchell was never off his feet and hasn't been as a pro i believe.

he would have been had the fight not been stopped. billy smith is a good call domestically, but then we dont see him fighting at top levels. froch has got to be the man as he has virtually no defence and fights the best . would have loved to see froch vs steve collins , a fight which definately would have gone the distance...

I think the thread is refering to 'current' active British boxers. In which case I'd go with Froch.

OK, sorry. I'd say either Froch or Gavin Rees; he's got a god chin, though can be hurt to the body. In his natural division he's not been hurt by ahead shot in 14 years as a pro + he was a good amateur.

The two Mongolians have got good chins.

Simpson too. Anderson & Burns have solid enough chins, although Burns was dropped against Martinez (but then Froch was down against Taylor).

Did Carl Johansson drop Ricky a couple of times? Got to say he's looked far more sturdy the last few years though, a good boxer Burns.

There's more to Matthew Hatton than clutching. He can box and fight and has a fantastic chin with very good conditioning. Matthew may have had good breaks but it seems he is undervalued by some boxing fans.

Froch's durability is incredible no other fighter campaigning has had there chins tested at the same level.

Matthew Hatton is a tough bloke and can take a good shot, no doubt. He ate plenty of Brook and Alvarez neither could stop him.

It's got to be Froch for me because he's been fighting against world class opposition. He's only been down once as a pro and he never went down as an amateur.

But then is having a good chin about not getting knocked down or not being genuinely hurt and then stopped. I always considered Prince Naz to have a very good chin, he hit the deck god knows how many times but I never thought 'shit he's going here!'

There're people that can take a really big punch but don't really try to win. I feel that having a good chin kind of means that the boxer takes a good punch and doesn't get distracted from trying to win the bout. There are journeymen boxers who can tuck up and take the lumps for 6 rounds but are not in it to win. If the boxer is throwing hard shots and attempting a winning game plan it is easier for the to catch a very hard punch.

Froch got dropped by Jermain Taylor in his first defence of the WBC title but he has got a strong chin although he does sometimes hang it out there, and you can add Tyson Fury into the mix despite being dropped Naven Pajkic in the only defence of his Commonwealth strap, and you could throw in his opponent Martin Rogan into the mix as well.

Only seen the guy who I'm gonna mention in action once but the Journeyman Ryan Clarke can take some punishment!
No doubt someone here could correct me that he has been blown away once or twice but i was surprised by the punishment he could take.
