Was to the undeffeated Anton novikov who flattened Maxwell
3 times before the ref waved it off in the 7th.

The aus strap. Hunts in supreme condition.
But does he have the power to keep Maxwell at
Bay for 10 rounds.

Maxwell's last fight was a loss to Alex Ahtong, twice beaten by Hunt.

Maxwell beat Ahtong 18 months ago himself.
Dropped him in the 5th which at that stage
Was the first time Ahtong had been down.
Maxwell won v Ahtong in a 12 rounder.
Ahtong made sure he won the rematch over 6.

I said in a previous post, prior to it getting hi-jacked by the resident fool, this is a good 50/50 fight, Hunt brings to the ring, better hand skills, is generally a little more faster and more mobile than Super Steve, but Steve has a real desire to win, with real KO power.

It will be a real battle of wills, both are generally pretty fit kids who give their all, they both have great teams behind them with very astute trainer's, who, i'm sure will do their homework on the opposition.

Politics aside, and whether it's for any title or not, it simply does not matter, the fight is just a damn good fight, and I hope everyone comes to see these guys go for it, we often forget about the fighter's, when politics decide whether these guys are good enough to fight for a title etc etc, but I see this as just a good fight between two good honest fighter's.

Also, what Mark said, the fact that Alex beat Steve in his last fight means nothing, and the fact that Tim beat Alex twice, also means nothing, all it shows is that Styles make fights, I think from memory that Steve has a win over Alex prior to their last fight anyway.

Congratulations to Promoter Adam Wilcock for his determination to put this fight on, and also to fight on in the face of a negative campaign to dud him out of this fight.
