it is being shown in the USA on ESPN2. I suppose it would be too much to expect it to be shown on one of the ESPN channels in Australia.

Only ESPN fight involving an Australian fighter I can remember being shown her live was the Ben-Rabeh/Urango fight.
According to my cable guide ESPN is showing Baseball and ESPN2 is showing the news roundup "Sports Center" at the time the fight would be on.

Sorry, my mistake. I looked at the wrong weekend. One of the ESPN channels on Fox is showing the fight from 1pm next Saturday.

What a warrior Katsidis is, IMO he is just getting over the hill now and i cannot see him winning anything major again. A credit to the sport though hes produced so many exciting fights. He is one of the fighters i will always tune in to watch.

Let me know if you are going to an event or even if you want to go to an event and i'll see if i can get you in. My appoligies to you and Caveman about not catching up.

Mensa has bought three belts into the ring. WTF... pretty arrogant if you ask me. The only belts that should be allowed into the ring are those that are up for grabs on the night.

I had it 95 - 95 with the 6th to Katsidis but couldve gone either way.
A great fight and I have no problem with Mensah getting the nod, but 98 - 92 is a bit far.
Whilst rocky wobbled Mensah a couple of times it appeared to me the only way he was going to win was work rate, his punches didnt seem to have a lot on them.
Mensahs build and style was all wrong for Katsidis (Kastidis as teddy Atlas kept saying), but on sheer heart Rock nearly pulled it off. Great fight.

I scored it by 2 points to Mensah. Michael was very busy but one dimensional with Mensah hitting cleaner and heavier. Michael's best punches never seemed to worry his opponent, who got puffed a bit when the ante was upped but never looked in danger.
Where to now for Katsidis is the question? He will never get that belt and his best is behind him. He is now becoming a bit of cannon-fodder for the USA TV prommotions due to his walk style, which is entertaining but he cops a pounding in the process.

Katsidis is still a dangerous opponent to any lightweight or super lightweight.
Whether he wins a World Title or not he still has some good earning years in front of him.

he should take on more limited fighters on a geale card etc. cause he needs some wins on his record or he will lose total respect imo.
that may have been his worse fight unfortunately. he's better than that.

Sorry grant, after my post i set up camp on the couch to enjoy the fights. I saw the fight as a winable one for kat, however he did wat he always does and stayed infront far too often. His corner offered very little advice, and IMO hasnt made a great deal of difference to his style, apart from seemingly getting rid of that right hand/elbow thing he used to have. I was hoping a change of coach would change style enough to learn some defense.
I enjoy watching him fight, however i dont enjoy watching him fight like a punching bag against guys he should be beating. Burns, guererro, and jmm(even though ill get shot down for it, haha) included
