Is Kid Galahad eligible for the British title?

He was born in Qatar, but has fought all of his professional fights in Britain.

He is fighting good opposition, so he would clearly be one of the main contenders for the British title if he is eligible.

If he has British citizenship which I guess he has should be eligible for it because if memory serves me did not Ajose Olusegun who is Nigerian by birth but has British citizenship fight for the British title when he defeated Nigel Wright down at Light-Welter? Because I know that Chisora was a British Champion and he is Zimbawean by birth.

They both held the British title.
I don't think Tseveenpurev is eligible for the British title and he has been boxing here since 2000.

Barry is very much a british lad and has been here from a very young age - since he was about five I think. I'd be amazed if he wasn't eligible. Also, he won the National Schoolboys champs - dunno what the eligibility criteria is there?

I know that the Board of Control use to have rules of minimum age to challenge for the British title but they got rid of that. Surely he must be eligible through residency even if he does not have British citizenship and what is the Board's Standing on that?.

I believe Choi chose not to hold British citizenship. Mongolia does not recognise dual citizenship and he did not want to renounce his Mongolian citizenship.
