Young mutley pulled out of his fight with Nasser Al Harbi, so in comes former British and Commonwealth challenger and WBF champ Southpaw Marcus Portman

Good fight, he was unlucky to get stopped by Cox last time out.

As I thought, they stayed with a local lad. Way I seen other there was only Lloyd or Portman. Still a good fight, Marcus represents less danger IMO as he doesn't posess the power Lee had/has (and that was the only way I saw Muttley winning) but he is a rangey lefty that won't let Nas have it all his own way.

It was a bad stoppage, Portman looked good in that fight and defence looked good against the agressive Cox, shame the ref spoiled it with a terrible stoppage, it was a real good clash of styles and would of made a good fight.

Should be a really good boxing match, both good counter punchers, will be a technical fight, Nas has sparred Marcus quite a few times in the wednesbury gym.

Done a little piece on this (cheers for the info too safeerah)

Think its a good fight me, especially as a replacement. Portman always looks big for a light middle to me, could be more of a dangerous fight than Mutley i reckon

We wanted it at 11st for a title, but they would not do any less then 11st 3lbs day before weigh in, so to make the fight we had to agree to their demand to make the fight happen, Portman is a very big guy, so they will be a big difference in weight on the night, as Nasser will be not much over 11st 3lbs on the night and Portman will be much bigger, Portman is a very good boxer, has a good jab and a fast left hand, he is also a tricky southpaw counter puncher. So why would we agree to the fight then ? Because Nasser has great ability and he likes a real challenge and he has given away weight many times before and still been victorious, lets be honest we are not going to get our own way in this business, we just play the cards we are dealt.

So I hear this show is now cancelled. Looks like we will have to wait another day to see if Nas can fulfill his potential.

Doubtful this will happen, although I hear some of Coldwells undercard are to feature on the Walsall bill.

Coldwell seems to have some terrible luck.
-Al Harbi/Ball finished early due to cuts
-Barnes/harris finished early due to cuts
-Putting back Bellew/McIntosh several times
-Now this show has been cancelled.

So many shows being cancelled it's a joke. F.........w..... show cancelled for tonight. Boxing is becoming unreliable. Hearns seems to be the only stable promoter nowadays. Feel sorry for Nasser he has had very unlucky few months which messes up your training patterns and peak times
