For the British title? Why is Rose taking on fighters who have just lost.... Maxwell was understandable, but Carslaw is a bit much.

Max at least had a win inbetween. And the loss was a bit of a joke.

Pathetic match up by Maloney Carslaw lost last time out to a shot Hall who's fighting Webb in a eliminator, this type of fight shows Maloney has no belief in Rose

Well thank you young man !
Seriously, everyone of note has fights slated.
Do you know if this is his mandatory or voluntary ?

It is a voluntary defence mate, obviously Brian wants to keep as busy as he possibly can, and the final eliminator hasn't happened yet

Terrible match up, Carslaw has never beaten anyone of note and lost to an over the hill Hall. Awful fight

I hear what the previous posts are saying , and I admit I'm surprised that Kris Carslaw has got the bout , but don't dismiss him as a 'no-hoper'. He's very fit , quick, skilful and can get your attention with both hands .
Two things about the fight . Rose , I think wants a Lonsdale belt as quick as possible ( and who can blame him ) , and if the fight is in Blackpool I can guarantee many Scots. attending .
There are other more worthy opponents , but just be careful, don't bet your house on Rose !!!

Couldn't The Eagle drop the English and step in?

Hall beat Carslaw in an eliminator, but has to fight in a final eliminator and Carslaw gets a shot.
Reminds me a bit of the Alan Bosworth situation... wins an eliminator but they deem him not worthy and therefore give the belt outright to Witter.

If fairness to Kris, he probably looked at Halls last performance and dismissed him a bit.
Am sure he will approachvthis fight with a different attitude.......
But to be honest Hall should have had first shout!!!

Am sure if offered Bradley Pryce (whos actually coming off a win) would of took the fight hes a bigger name than Carslaw and its still a very winable fight for Rose

So many other boxers he could fight: Ochieng (current Eng Champ) Selkirk, Webb, O'meara,
Doran(wherever he is?) Cox(wherever he is?) how did Carslaw get this fight and how did Rose get another voluntary fight?....This is the reason why boxing is losing its fight to MMA.
Everyone predicted Rose's last fight with Maxwell and the same with Carslaw. This match up is very poor

have you read the posts above? the eliminator hasnt happened yet so there is mandatory yet and until there is you are entitled to make voluntary defences

An utterly bollocks matchup that shows boxing for what it is. Fights like this which anger me to be honest. It's the British title, he should fight next in line, bloody Carslaw just looks a whole load of average.

Hall Vs Carslaw was an eliminator, but the loser gets the shot

Pryce is a much better and more deserving challenger for the title.
Rose vs Carslaw should be a non-title fight.

Rose vs Ochieng sounds like a good fight. Come on Eddie Hearn sort it out!

It'd be nice.
This sort of fight is devaluing the Lonsdale.
